When you are told that there is nothing that can be done to help me because I have too many complex medical issues (by your orthopedic surgeon), you lose hope and can fall into a deep depression. My orthopedic doctor was humble enough to tell me in such a compassionate way.... and then, while scribbling on a piece of paper, he said , "You must see a specialist with skilled hands.... go see Dr. Michael Chang! If anyone can help you, it will be him!" My husband and I were sitting in Dr. Chang's office two weeks later and all hope has been restored. I am scheduled for an intensive surgery, fighting to get my life back. Dr. Chang is so knowledgeable in his area of expertise. He is caring and compassionate. He told us like it is, in a matter of fact tone, all the while offering his understanding with what I am experiencing every hour of every day. The staff rocks also!
