A minivan does everything a suburban SUV does but better, more space, more comfort, more practical, sliding doors ideal for cramped parking spaces or garages, why would anyone choose an SUV over a minivan? I suppose its cultural, in the US the minivan has the stigma of being a "soccer mom" ride, its inherent domesticity means that any man driving one feels simbolically castrated, and boy they are missing out.
If you want or need a real SUV, you can't go wrong with a Land Cruiser or an Isuzu MU-X though.
