Sounds like a "show" problem...nothing I've seen makes me wish to watch more, and it is ineffective as a teaching tool (according to you), so...maybe a different, less snarky approach? If people aren't getting what the show is, that is the production's responsibility. As a viewer, I am not obliged to give shows "a chance". I have given this more than a fair shake, which I wish I hadn't.

If you watch the show there are moments where they do highlight the ridiculousness of that exact perception. The show realises the hypocrisy regarding the white versus black dichotomy and addresses it quite well. Perhaps you didn't watch it in enough detail.

The whole beef with the title comes down to a "well how would you like it if..." argument, where the part that follows the word "if" are usually things black Americans are already dealing with on a regular basis.
Imagine making a show called "Dear Asian People" or "Dear Black People". Thats it. Thats the comment.

The situation is the issue can escalate. Fir example in my country made a tv show about singers that had a costume that doesn’t allow you to know anything about the singer’s physic. Great concept, the idea where the singer use something of our culture. Not sure who endorsed the costumes. But in the show 5 singers where animals from our diversity and one was a black woman (caricature) that represent in our culture the first free black populations in my country. And the singer who choose the costume were a white woman who sings really good. Her reasons were innocent, but it affected the black population cause the tv show were to sing making a mockery of the costume. Like is understandable to us that is to picky the topic about costumes. But even from innocence we need to listen, we can insult someone with our actions
