- It’s a demand problem that they’re seeing, notes Dan Ives on Tesla (TSLA). He analyzes today’s price action in Tesla. He talks about how Musk claims Reuters is “lying” in report that Tesla is cancelling its plans for a low-cost car. He then goes over the outlook for Microsoft’s (MSFT) upcoming earnings, as well as the outlook for Apple (AAPL). Tune in to find out more about the stock market today.

Did't he say the car business is a small part of his valuation lol
Tesla is a AI company, not a car company.
Yes, ives said it is a fork in the road moment.
That its Tesla’s world and everyone else is just trying to get a nut.
Tesla has No competition!
BYD: hold my beer!!!
@@stevie1748 Lol, every other car make: hold my beer
Unveil means pulling off wrap sheet of some prototype car onn stage like cybertruck and forget about it for years?
none of the stocks Dan mentions have yet to reach their PTs!
agreed 100% another example he said was APPLE.
Right after this video dropped, Tesla jumped 4% on news from Elon Musk announcing a RoboTaxi event on 8/8.
the future is comning
When the stock drops again Musk will introduce the Tesla Flying Pig Robot.
The prototype will be a dog dressed up as a pig.
Tesla will then rally 20%.
What's happened since then?
2 more cuts on model3 to get it to 25k. Simple?
You know when things are bad when Elon's Minions start to talk about "Robotaxi".
Time for Cathy to go on cnbc.
Has ark gone bankrupt yet?
I enjoy Dan Ives; the way he talks and style. He is chill
Yeah would like to grab a beer with him one day
Nicole, you are fabulous today.
Dan is hurt.
He does look a little tired. Needs a nice vacay
Its a fork in the toad moment for Dan.
Reveal could be for something well into the future.
Not really.
Mught just be a hyundai dressed up as a Tesla robot reveal.
I have no credentials or expertise on Tesla, have never bought or sold the stock. But I haven't heard anyone suggest yet that Tesla's eV's could be in big trouble from the trend to hybrids. It seems John Q. Public is not at all excited about the daily problems associated with owning an eV. Aside from price and the daily headache of charging, the insurance rates are outrageous due to among others the possibility that a fender or chassis bender can result in your vehicle being a 'total.' Maintenance costs are outrageous; technicians must be manufacturer certified or the warranties are trash; and along with a shortage of trained mechanics, almost no dealership techs are yet certified. The tire industry may be a beneficiary with their newly formulated eV-specialized rubber tires, but the added battery weight, along with fast acceleration, and stress from power generating braking means all 4 tires have to be replaced every 15K to 20K miles.
But think about hybrids!! Tesla has NO EXPERIENCE, EQUIPMENT, AUTOMATION, or TOOLING designed to manufacture Combustion Engines. If John Q. Public continues to preference hybrids over pure e-vehicles as a longer term trend, which seems entirely possible if not highly likely, then Tesla has bunches of expensive factory footage that is for the time being obsolete and useless, could result in short-term extraordinary depreciation write-offs; and if unit sales continue to drop, the eco-kids in Brandenburger Forest will be out roasting wienies on overstock battery fires.
Actually Toyota was talking about how exciting hybrids are.
I sometimes think that Nicole has a crush on Dan Ives.
Ives was saying all last year the price cuts was a "poker move". He was so wrong about that, it's a demand issue
Ives also said how important china is.
Dan, you’re freaking yourself out
I love Dan ives lol
Low cost car may still be in play but maybe it just won't have a steering wheel. If Tesla can sell a car to the masses that drives itself like a Waymo that would be like an iPhone moment. Some people love driving but a lot of people hate it especially in high traffic areas or in unfamiliar places. Maybe the next gen car with steering wheel is cancelled but Elon's original plan was always to make the next gen car fully autonomous.
She keeps talking over him I'd like to be able to actually hear him
Global Robotaxi Market size was valued at USD 1.02 million in 2022 and is poised to grow from USD 1.66 billion in 2023 to USD 80.59 billion by 2031, at a CAGR of 62.5% during the forecast period (2024-2031)
lol
You are too conservative. It’s a 9999 trillion market by 2031.

That aged like milk
BYD already beat Tesla to the cheaper models, competition is over.
kk do you belive china?
@@leveragegame7 Tesla’s a Chinese company.
Not in autonomous driving. BYD are not even pursuing it, & are barely profitable, despite government subsidies.
WTF!
They said tesla has NO COMPETITION???
8.8 . 2024 the car 🚗 is coming
Rivian is coming
For bankruptcy
Tesla is having a time 😬 yikes
Halving
@@my_RS4 I see what you did there.

No steering wheel means TSLA bloodbath in the minds of traditional institutional investors. Tesla will probably only cancel the non-robotaxi version in the US and keep a 25k version in EU and China since the EV market is more competitive and autonomy is heavily regulated. Besides in the US, small cars are not selling, but they will sell like hot cakes if they are robotaxi.
Now you just need a robo taxi , and need to know who will create one first.
Long grinding week
I would not bet against Ives and his conviction stocks that he’s always pumping. But I think he’s delusional about his price targets.
She was not right for this interview
Half awake grav her a Celsius geez
Dan is a fool
BREAKING NEWS - Tesla announces Robotaxi event on 8/8.
Is it a person dressed up as a Robotaxi?
Breaking news, Elon Musk has been announcing immanent self driving for 8 straight years now.
NO NO NO!!!
TESLA NEEDS BIGGER Y CHEAP SUV AROUND 50k.
Fo USA, and cheap model for China and Europe.
Cybertruck was huge mistake
Not really ,…the intended use for cyber truck was to hype the stock mission accomplished.
Spend billions to hype a stock... mission accomplished? Hype is gone already.
Fire Elon Musk , I would purchase a Tesla if Elon was gone , and I'm not 🚫 alone 😭
There is a reason this woman is not on CNBC. My word, she needs to go back to news anchor school.
He says the same thing all the time. It’s so fucking boring Dan
Doom and gloom ives
buy LI AUTO stocks thanks me later
Sooner or later Ives is gonna realize how wrong that he's been on Tesla. Tesla is on a dead end road.
후후. 미래에 집중해🎉
"Splain yourself Lucy.
@@lonzo61 Wow, Lonzo. I watched I Love Lucy in syndication as a kid in the 70s.
@@eriknephrongfr8847 Yep, me too! I still think this dude who commented on how Tesla is "on a dead end road" needs to state why. It's a ridiculous statement. But, it's not the first time any of us has read such a thing here on YT.
Anyway, I guess I'd better sell all my TSLA since, well, it's on a dead end road. Musk is just a masterful con man. This company was always a sham.
A lightbulb moment for Ives
