  • Two weeks ago, we took our favorite, bulbous aircraft out to Kennedy Space Center in Cape Canaveral Florida to accomplish a Ground Vibration Test. Why would we do such a thing? Check out the video and FIND OUT!!!
Also, stick it out to the end of this one; I've got a little message where I'm talking right to ya!
I hope you enjoy this video & ALL of these videos. If you do, please Like it, SUBSCRIBE, and most importantly, SHARE with all of your friends that enjoy aviation, or would otherwise be interested in the really cool things we do!
    Thanks for watching!

Thanks Jacob- I appreciate the kind words. There’s so much content out there, it’s tough to break out, but persistence in marketing is the key. ( I regularly post pictures on IG [@superguppylife] and on Twitter as well. [@unusualattitud1] Honestly though, I rely on excited subscribers like you to like the videos & share them with others who would enjoy the channel more than anything, so please text the link to your buddies/colleagues who would dig it. And thanks for watching!!

@@UnusualAttitudes Hey Matt, will do. It's just really surprising to me this hasn't been in my suggestions because half or more of my youtube time is spent on aviation channels.

Water injected -14. Interesting. And OMG that looks like the prop balance form hell, LOL

Hahaha- well, it wasn’t quite a prop balance, but it sure could make it difficult!

Thanks Matt!! I was one of your first subscribers and I appreciate you!! The old SG just amazes me! The amount of air the front of it moves seems to have little affect on the wing/prop aerodynamics! Looked like a lot of action on the yoke at final though! 8) --gary

Thanks, man- I sincerely appreciate you being here! And yeah, you are FLYING that airplane when you’re in the seat! The top of the dome is designed very specifically, so that air accelerates as it reaches the top, producing roughy 10% of the aircraft’s overall lift!

    Great as always Matt!
E really nice to see how much thought and work is put to keep it flying and how it stay relevant on space business. Would be kinda funny if he holds more vibration than the capsule; that test can cause any damage to it ?
And by way, will be great to hear more of your thoughts, that's some pretty badass exclusive content indeed. Keep it up man!!

Thanks Dan- I sincerely appreciate the kind words! There’s definitely a lot more coming as I’m about to embark on a month with the P-3 next week. Plus, every time I put one of these videos together, I’m reminded how much footage from past missions I have that I haven’t used!
Please tell all your friends and share the channel! I’ll see ya in the next one!

I’m a newbie to your channel but have a question. When landing the Guppy I noticed a mist or something coming out of the instrument panel. Looked odd and would like to know what it was. Will watch more of your channel.

Hi Susan- thanks for watching, and that’s a great question!
The Air Conditioning Machines have dryers in them that almost completely dries the air out. So as the aircraft descends & depressurizes to the ambient pressure, that very dry air mixes with the moist ambient air, producing that fog you see. It’s more prominent in high humidity areas like Florida.
      Thanks for your question!
