Ive got one of these. The mileage range they state on the screen when fully charged is wildly exaggerated! They state 200 mile range but in reality your lucky to get 120! The door sill is also very high with a very deep footwell which makes getting in and out very awkward. (and I'm not an old guy either😉)
I have this car. Very good review. I agree with your conclusions and really hope that Peugeot do update the screen at some point (although not holding my breath). I am not sure that more aggressive regenerative braking would effect range much though, given that the car will regenerate when pressing the brake pedal anyway.
Glad you liked the review! Indeed, you can recoup energy via the brake pedal, however, it's not quite a one-pedal driving approach, that some of its rivals offer. Having the choice would have been appreciated :)
If you open the middle there is an installed mobile holder space (plasticky thing included not to move) and there if you plug in your phone for Android auto there is enough space for my 6.3 inch mobile with cable, but I did put my wife's 6.7 inch huge phone in there to and it fitted. Also if you open that part Peugeot created a mobile holder there, which holds the mobile in perfect angle if you dont want to plug in or to hide it. So in last 11 months with the new Peugeot 2008 my phone never dropped or slipped nowhere :) Another comment, the home screen 6 main fuction is down in the touch buttons, so I never used the three finger solution cause its really unneccessary... The look is realtive - each of us have our own preference - but the MG EV is for me nowhere near inside and outside this lovely looking thing (neither E-Niro and Kona... plastic Korean interieor - and weird outside designs). I'd chose 2008 over those over and over again... from this price range.
Thanks for sharing! We tried with our phone and connected over USB it wouldn't fit properly when connected horizontally. And absolutely, the looks are stunning of the e-2008.
It's a lovely car and I've been in the market for a new car for a few months and this was on my shortlist but it lost out to its cousin, the Citroen eC4. I took a test drive and although it was good, I've never been in a less inviting interior in my driving life of 57 years. The all black is simply horrific. As for the ridiculous idea of mixing the controls, I think that Peugeot have definitely gone for 'form over function' in this case. I've had Peugeots for getting on for 23 years and it's unlikely they'll see me again as a customer. With any luck I'll be collecting my Citroen in two days!
Interesting. As a guy coming from german cars and always overlooking the french ones, these new peugeot's have been to first ones to catch my eye. I might actually buy this one next. It felt sturdy and premium enough and the seat was awesome with some proper support. But then again we might be a bit different target audience, each to their own!
The new design was establised by 508, after 208, 2008 and 3008 (and the bigger version 5008) received it. This year autumn 308 will get the new design too. 2008 was the first SUV received the new front and back, I knew cause I bought one, and in the saloon Peugeot confirmed that in april 2020 that the new design will be installed on the 3008 later in 2020, and will be on sale in 2021. I never regreted to buy the 2008, inside almost identical the space as in 3008, but due its lower, enough long, its more sportier.
why would you write 2023 in the title when the video is 2 years old, especially considering a new version is released in 2023 you're being extremely misleading
As at the start of 2023 (when the title was updated), this review was still very much relevant. Further, there's a lot that's been covered which is still applicable to the updated model!
In the UK you don't need to be able to go any faster. Don't think I've ever gone over 90 (cough 70) in my 155mph rated car. Acceleration more important.
Very nice from outside but inside very poor and plasticky poor desing of instruments cluster which you can’t see it thru steering wheel, wonder why and what you pay 36k for 🤔
@@petersmrek7617 you look over the steering wheel at the instruments. At first seems strange but you quickly get used to it. Now I prefer the smaller steering wheel as it's more relaxing on the arms and easier to turn.

Aww thank you!
Hello, can you tell me if this 2008e model has the possibility to change the theme (color) in the cockpit or is it only blue?
From memory, it's the only the assigned colour. Could be mistaken, so suggest looking at the manual!
front looks aggresive and majestic especially with that cat logo!!
Ha, yes!
It's a lion, but yeah!
@Roman Pontian lion or tiger.. its all still a glorified large cat to me...meow meow! here kitty kityy
@Roman Pontian good luck and best wishes, drive safely!
@Roman Pontian ok i will check it out as well on the web
I've just ordered one

Will the new 3008 re design be applied to the e2008
Going by what the 3008 design looks like: the e-2008 (at least on review) is already on the newer facelift design.
