It’s been said that trout can be challenge to bring in on casting gear, especially with jerkbaits. Do y’all find these particular rods don’t suffer that problem or do spinning rods have a massive leg up?
I would have never believed a full size jerkbait would catch trout. Last summer I thought there was bass schooling next to me and threw in a Berkley Stunna and pulled in a nice rainbow. Couldn't believe it

Over here in north Texas wishing we had trout in any of our creeks lol. I suppose we have a few ponds that Texas Parks & Wildlife stock with rainbows, never tried to catch any but I definitely will later in the year when it gets cold again and they restock.

Love it - here in SE Minnesota we have quite a few trout creeks and rivers and it’s always cool trying new techniques for them. This kinda stuff is super helpful!
Been wondering about the 110 special w/ the Silverwolf. Not sure if it’s small enough to be palmable like the aldebaran.
The reel is certainly palmable - same fram as a zillion. The One Ten Special is a powerful rod though - so get it if you fish 110 and larger sized baits. Mainly larger.

My jerkbait setup is the AGS Universal Light w/ an Aldebaran. So fun to use for the Plus 1 jr and even the regular Plus 1. Love my setup and I think it’ll be perfect for trout too.
I have one too and it’s so great. I love it for finesse cranks and shakyheads too. Bonkers versatility.
