Smokey Mountains 500

Spent a few days with some great friends riding the smokey mountain 500. It was a 50/50 mix of on and off road. Lots of great views!

dang as a street biker, that gravel road caused me no end of anxiety. I hate gravel. both times on the pavement it was due to thick pea gravel and momentary stupidity.

Yea, Road bikes get kind weird when they hit the gravel on concrete. These bikes are mostly setup for dirt. They don't perform as well as a road bike does on pavement but are surprisingly capable on the pavement for what they are!
