I like how the CoA lists the coin as 99.99% pure and at least 10001 g. That ensures the coin has at least 9999.9999 g of gold. When you folks display the gold and silver coins side-by-side for comparison, how about showing their thicknesses, too? Oh, well. Maybe next time.
They sent this over the post ? Madness !! - especially since delivery men are notoriously impatient when ringing the bell and will leave the parcel at the door regardless of how valuable it is !!
I started watching those clips because of the gold, but now I bring out the popcorn and watch for stanley knife cuts... it like OH AH WOW EH NOOO.... 😂. You are very skilled with that knife Sir!
😲😲😲 that’s beautiful, this isn’t the video you were starting to do on Monday morning when my wifey and I walked in? If my powerball numbers come in, I will take it 😂😂😂 that’s fabulous.
Sorry in advanced for the dumb question but I was wondering what is the reason behind the for the 30000 fiat dollar when the coin is worth 3/4 of a million?
It's legal currency, and the Perth mint is only allowed to mint x number of dollars worth per year. As a result, they assign very low face values to be able to mint more coins. That and they always want to downplay inflation.
4:59 When the light hits the coin at just the right angle for a split moment, you can see the Queen's cheek is absolutely COVERED in scrapes and scratches and blemishes. Even though it's basically just a quick shot of it, it does appear the scratches are on the coin itself and not the plastic. I don't know if it's a trick of the lighting and that's how the coin's supposed to look or something of that nature. I sure hope it is! But one thing's for sure, if I paid THAT much for anything, I'd not just expect, but DEMAND that it's in perfect nick. Here's hoping I'm wrong.
The reason why gold coins ceased to be used as currency was because the gold content was worth more than the face value of the coin. Hence why these days Gold is referred to as a store of wealth.
Thank you for this fascinating video... I realized I have just a bit over the same weight in my tiny silver collection so it was interesting to see that 10 kilo silver coin as well. Wow... must be an interesting person who ordered it... I wonder if they were born in the year of the snake? If I ever get rich I might order something like that... you could almost use it for a coffee table...
Having just over 10 kg of .999 silver is like having 322 or more American Eagle silver dollars. That isn't a tiny silver collection for the common stacker watching these YT videos. If you have bullion silver, that's $8K-$9K. Numismatic grade coins will be much higher. Sounds like a decent start.
@@oahuhawaii2141 Thanks for your kind comments. I also have 12 ounces of Gold so about half my costs were for silver and half for gold. As I am not in the U.S. I only have one silver eagle but over 100 ounces in Canadian Maples. I like beautiful designs so I have collections of series from Perth Mint, Royal Mint, and some others. Mostly I have one of each of the coins I really love. Some European Gold, but mostly Perth Mint gold. I am putting my cash into food now... Food that can store for a long time.

Trading today at $58,330 US a kilo so now worth as just bullion $583,300 that’s one hell of a loss and To me I don’t think that finish is worth $170,000, but then I’m just a pauper.
