@@LightningSword13 My guess, he didn't like how recycled the EDM scene was getting in terms of creativity. The song's message is about escapism, but it could also be listened to as an encouragement to let the world in your head out instead of trying to copy another person's world.
Oh I get it now. I think it just means that some music trends will wash away and some will stand the test of time. The song goes, "hear what I hear..." (This bass heavy section is the part at the time that he literally hears in edm at the time) Then the song goes, "this ugliness, this cruelty, it will all die out" (This part he starts to merge the opening melody with the bass heavy section) So you make whatever you want of it.
The drop actually isn't that bad. It's clearly deliberate, and a powerful artistic statement; it's certainly not Porter trying to be as nasty as possible in the manner of many popular artists. You just gotta pay attention to how the drop is still all in the rhythmic form it is in the rest of the song.
i think i recognize you from enjin lol But hell yeah, this song has a great first drop. I'm pretty certain it was meant to sound like his older works. Definitely one of the most beautiful songs I know of.
he's trying to express the feeling of stress and depression (or something like that) without making somewhat censored or easier to hear. Because when you have depression it's not easy to live through it. I'm glad that you get that as well as I do.
If you think which is Porter Robinson's best track this could be a big contender. The track teels a story so deep with an insane EDM melody. I mean Porter has insane tracks and all are amazing but I personally think this one is so underrated because of the first drop, that not so many like. But it shows how the character feels and then the sadness and loneliness develops to the second drop which is mindblowing.
I feel bad for you, nobody put a like your comment, I understand, life is sometimes confusing, because you do not know why certain things happen, I hope you're better right now. Never stop making efforts for all the things you love, and if someone says something bad about you , do not forget that at least you are not wasting time with people who do not care what you can say about them, so do that, keep your loved ones close to you as long as possible and never put limits to yourself. (and try to be optimistic =) )

Hey, I make these videos called "EDM Lyric" videos, and I was wondering if I could use some of the visuals for the background of the video? Reply ASAP. Thanks!
Porter did not use this footage. This is a recreation of the visuals Porter DID use, to the best of these people's ability. As for why it's different, +D E E R S A T A N is right. They couldn't find or make some of the assets, so they made do with what they could find- the biggest difference goes to the first half of Easy, where instead of the Japanese letters flying towards the screen containing stills from the Easy music video, they just use part of the actual music video. Another difference is the deer priest from here and Fresh Static Snow- to be precise, the "walking to the side" seen in this video at 5:16 and seen early on in Fresh Static Snow. The problem is, they don't have the Deer Priest's alternate form (fire in hand instead of on a torch, a skull mask instead of wrapped face, ect.) for that shot, said form being the upside-down reflection at 0:12 here, and instead just use the Priest's "good" form tinted red for both that sequence and the flipping-between-forms sequence in Fresh Static Snow. Honestly I would've tried my hardest to take the "bad" form's reflection from 0:12 and tried my hardest to edit it to make it work, because what they went with really messes with the symbology of both Fresh Static Snow's opening and Fellow Feeling's close. As for who made the original visuals... they're not "ghostdad". They're from Invisible Light Network.
He said in a interview that he made this song because he doesn't or didn't like the direction edm music was going in
Sorry, but what does that mean exactly?
@@LightningSword13 music for money maybe, idk hahaha
@@LightningSword13 It means he wanted to be creative.

Ascot Gay Furry I thought the drop was awful at first. Then I listened to it a few times and I thought it was really good.

Hey I have the same username ;-;
ive grown to love these demonic drops
Same. They make the song, if you took them out then the song loses all meaning. Plus they're flat out great to groove to.
lol porter really conveyed the message, first a punch in the face, then a middle finger :P
IT'S SO COOL
Didn’t expect to see u here bro
Although the gritty drop is supposed to be a mock recreation of the "current state of EDM," it still fucking slaps!
i remember watching this one live for the first time and riGHt when the breakdown at 3:05 hit i completely lost it
I had massive goosebumps

The visuals of the deer man remind me of Princess Mononoke...
It reminds me more of Rusty Lake-Cube Escape and idk why
Also the game deer God, or whatever it was called. As well as the spirit realm in skyward sword. Well, the firey sprites at least

my 600 pound life
Did porter use this footage ?
Yes except when I saw him live some of it was different
That's because they couldn't find, or make some of the footage. That's why it's a remake, it's not supposed to be perfect.
no obviously, porter has his someone to do the visuals in every show porter plays. hes ghostdad u can find him in twitter
Porter did not use this footage. This is a recreation of the visuals Porter DID use, to the best of these people's ability.

too bad these video isn't watch-able on mobile device, damn..
*on mobile*
This was a mistake to watch with the lights off
Cmon man, Put at least a flashing lights warning
why’s everything modified and repeating I thought this was a visual remake not a cringe remix
because it's the live version porter plays
This is Porters mix live....
2:15 totally change
