Quand la grâce absolue de l'interprète rencontre la musique miraculeuse de Ravel ... Cette manière de jouer en communion avec l'orchestre, puis d'écouter le chant du cor anglais, quelle admirable délicatesse ! La version la plus émouvante que je connaisse.
Alice Sara Ott is the absolute best. Compare this to a dozen others playing this second movement and you won't find anything more expressive, beautiful or emotional. Absolutely stunning.
I have been an Argerich aficionado for the last 5 years, but OMG I didnt realise that the way to play this subservient to the orchestra was the way to go. Now prefer this one. Sorry Martha, but yours was always about the piano. This performance is about the composition. Bravo Ms Ott. x
Can you expound on that a little? What do you mean by "subservient to the orchestra?"Are you saying that Martha plays this piece with too much stress on the piano part at the expense of the orchestra?
