It's like the lightest breath of an angel dancing on those keys. The right instrument, the best artist, and one of the greatest composers for piano...all brought together in this magic moment.
Clarity is perfect. I love this performance. Every passage is clear and the base notes speak in the heavier chordal sections. She has so many colors in her fingertips.

I enjoyed this more than Yundi Li's or Evgeny Kissin's version. It's quite different in the interpretation, but it's a breath of fresh air in a place where everyone is just competing to play the piece as fast as possible (Kissin so fast that he actually makes a substantial number of mistakes). The rubato is quite beautiful here, and you show in the finale that it's definitely not to make up for insecure playing. Well done.

A really different interpretation of this piece... but I really like how she smiles while she plays:) It looks like she's having a really good time playing the piece and that's great:)
Interesting pacing and phrasing, and it's got that signature light and delightful playing from her which stands out in this piece more than others. Not to mention the clarity throughout the whole piece. That was really good! :)
I love listening to interpretations. This is extremely technique and difficult so bravo. I say bravo Liszt for writing such genius works for us pianist to play !
The first impression is that of a pianist whose technique is yet to mature. However, Miss Ott does not fail to shine. Her interpretation is delightful and at times dexterously witty, conveying rich emotions at ease. There is no sense of restrained mechanism here; one hears only the congenial resonance of a ringing bell in the air.

An amazingly masterful performance. I wonder how many people appreciate just how incredibly difficult this piece is to play, let alone play with such control. Put it in perspective, I'm a grade 8 pianist and have been playing for some 12 years. I can only play the first line...
please pay attention, that alice,. was long time in love with listzs untill she read that he was not very tall, so is it no wonder that she plays listzt so good ;-)
I really like this interpretation! She takes her time in some areas and really brings out every note! Well done! By no means is this slow, and yet it doesn't seem like she is going all that fast... she has achieved an interesting balance here! Bravo!
La Campanella probably is one of the most "personal" song to judge by a critic or by the audience and this because of the enourmous different interpretations we could have. Probably one of the best performance I ever heard for that piece. This performer has taken a huge (successful) risk by using very few times the pedal. I like this performance a lot. I think Liszt wanted it to be at a consistant tempo, but your interpretation... It's probably better this way. Just amazing.
Georges Cancan a bit odd that you’ve chosen to verbatim copy an entire review as presumably your say on the matter. You’re entitled to that I suppose, however lacking in originality it may be. Personally, I’m not sure why Mr Church feels the need to bring sexist views nor a convoluted way of saying he just doesn’t enjoy their style. Perhaps he knows his own work is lacking in magic? Regardless I don’t subscribe to that and while I’m not claiming Ms Sara is the all time greatest, I can very much still enjoy her performances for what they were, and that I do.

Probably one of the best performance I ever heard for that piece. This performer has taken a huge (successful) risk by using very few times the pedal. One thing that moved me is the way she plays the variation starting at 2:46 : it reminds me old music boxes and I personally think this is a great and smart idea this performer had. So in one word : congratulations
Flawless performance. Love Alice's playing style.
This Interpretation is really genius!!!
I love this version so much, it's so clean. This and the one played by Alicia de Larrocha are my absolute top favorite renditions of this piece.
Wondering if she only has 10 fingers as we all do! Amazing performance! Love her!
La meilleure interprétation de cette pièce de tout RUclips. Dommage qu'elle ne soit pas la plus regardée ! C'est magnifique !
Her hands are so beautiful
her feet too ;-)
Love those fingers flying on the keyboard. Amazing!
I hear a third hand. It sounds beautiful and wonderous. This is now my favorite interpretation, ahead of even Lisitsa
Jack U. lisitsa sucks she amazing technically but she plays with no emotion what so ever
Man, thats not true...
Skyler Mccloud I don’t accept that.
Kissin made it cleaner
Luyen Van
His wins for emotion, the guy is falling apart in front of your eyes at the effort 😂
went to hear her live at the proms this year, she played this encore and grieg's piano concerto, it was simply sublime
please pay attention, that alice was long time in love with listzs untill she read that he was not very tall, so is it no wonder that she plays listzt so good ;-) ,.
es absolutamente increible !!!!! una genia!
you can tell that she really enjoys playing this piece...wonderful expresion both in her face and playing...wonderful!!!
can stop listening to this. the first time i did was about 6 years ago, and still.
Me too man
Her dynamics are amazing.
Very delicate sounding.
she plays it perfectly... light and airy like a focaccia bread. Too many people play it like a sourdough
美しい演奏。
WRITE IN ENGLISH YOU, WHAT EVER YOU ARE.
very good play n selection.
french black hair is very beautiful.
she became my favorite player
Own Meu Deus, me apaixonei... essa musica é maravilhosa, ela expressou maravilhosamente os sentimentos da musica e a melhor interpretação que ja vi desta musica, Liszt concerteza ficaria orgulhoso de vc, Linda Sara...
instaBlaster.
Why there are people who give NOT LIKE? I hate that.
This is a beautiful performance. I love it
I like this performance a lot. I think Liszt wanted it to be at a consistant tempo, but your interpretation... It's probably better this way. Just amazing.
Tomas Josef Liszt himself preferred when people played music with an interpretation rather than clinically and clean

Let's talk on a very topical topic: "Equal Rights", equal rights between a man and a woman. Imagine: a male pianist plays this work, in the same hall. To attract the attention of the public, this male pianist followed Alice's example and stepped on the stage barefoot. Nature gave him feet of size 12 (46). Dear ...167, what do you write in your comment? And if a pianist - a man enters the stage with a bare back?
THE INDEPENDET (**)
Michael Church "...The hall was full - vigorous marketing, plus her
trademark bare feet and scarlet ball-dress, had seen to that - but the
performance itself was miserably charisma-free."
i really love a bit more rubato than most people, and this is a really good recording in my opinion
Met her when I was 13,studied in Germany and Austria with Karl Heinz Kammerling, one of the most beautiful memories in my life
Perfect rendition. 100/10.
When watching performances like this I sometimes wonder to myself, "What would Liszt be thinking if only he could see this himself?". The answer, in this case, is that I think he'd be astonished at the masterful presentation of his work. This was so great. Thank you!
激しく綺麗だ。
綺麗な音の粒が、こちらに向かって飛んできて耳の中で弾けるイメージ、ずっと聞いていたいけど長すぎると飽きてしまうとも思う。
Best La capanella cover. Definitelly.
Kissin did it best.
Alice Sara Ott’s impeccable articulation allows us to distinctly hear every note of Liszt's "La campanella"
Alice... I have cry listening your "la campanella". Thanks for this big emotion! God bless your hands but expecially your clean and lovable soul. (from italy with love and admiration).
please pay attention, that alice was long time in love with listzs,. untill she read that he was not very tall, so is it no wonder that she plays listzt so good ;-)
Très belle prestation pour ce morceau si difficile! Merci
Algumas pessoas são simplesmente fantásticas '-'
演奏にも美貌にも完全に吸い込まれた!
Amazing control is an understatement. Liszt wrote this with a strong emphasis on the piano being a *percussive* instrument in an orchestra and I don't think this pianist could have done a better job conveying that. Well done!
