- The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia (Type 14 and 34 ) was produced from 1955 to 1974. In this video some nice appearances of the Karmann Ghia in movies. I’ve owned a LOT of Karmann Ghias (around 50,) since my first one in 1978. Currently have 8, recently sold 8 convertibles to a guy on the Gulf Coast.
the blue convertible Karmann Ghia in Kill Bill by Tarantino is the same as the one in Once upon a time in hollywood, it was his step-father car
I remember one in Hitchock's "Vertigo"; at one point I believe the woman who drove it got frustrated and made a fast (well, maybe more like noisy) getaway.
Interesting to say that, the accident from the 2nd Movie that the Karmann Ghia appears, really happened, but was not just a Karmann Ghia, it was a Karmann Ghia TC, a version that was manufactured only on Brazil, and was not similar to the Karmann Ghia that everyone knows about.
I have a beautiful blue 1973 Karmann Ghia convertible. I'd love for it to appear in a movie but don't want it ruined after all the work my husband did restoring it.

In pretty in pink, Molly Ringwall drives à Ghia. And in kill bill, uma thurman crashed one.
And yet even SHE couldn't make a VW look good on film.
I did not find a movie called "Cloudy with a Touch of Love". Not on Amazon, not in the Movie Database. Is there a german version of it?

Yes. Not type fourteen but type one four. 1 is type 1 and four is karmann Ghia. Same as type three four. Type 3 for type 3 and four for karmann Ghia.
You forgot to mention "City Of God"
Sorry. The Karman Ghia appears in about 750 movies. So if you have more tips I can consider a volume 2.
