I just don't understand why they (almost all modern audio interface manufacturers) can't add a mute MIC button, why there are only mute output buttons everywhere? Can anyone explain, maybe there are some hardware limitations that don't allow this or otherwise I can't see any reason for it.

I just purchased the quantum ES 2 and it came with a six month subscription to Studio One + that I want to take advantage of until it runs out. I recently recently upgraded to Studio One 6 and imagine I will just go back to using that after the six months since I really don’t do the amount of work that warrants a monthly subscription. I am wondering if it’s a whole new installation or if it upgrades what I have now and then, when it runs out, downgrades back to my original version?

Can the ES line be used as an audio interface with the Akai MPC Key 37 or MPC One Plus in standalone mode? In addition to that, will the Control App be needed, and/ or useful in the Akai MPC Key 37 as a standalone? Meaning, would I also be able to control the perimeters of the Audio Interfaces within the MPC Key 37? I'm trying to go the route of DAW-less music creation. I can't remember where, but someone did say that it's only the HD line that can be used as an audio interface for that purpose, but if the ES line can be used as well, that would be great. Thanks!

I don't know much about an Audio interface, on the back it looks like there are 4 outs, does that mean I can hook up 4 speakers and in some way control what speakers are being used? I have iloud MTM's, but I also have iloud MTM precision (the big ones.) Can I hook up all 4 speakers and hit a button allowing me to use 1 pair of speakers and then hit another button to use the other pair, or use all 4 at once?? This is never covered in anything I looked up, anywhere, even on your site.
