Shaykh Muhammad Al Y'aqoubi is a world renowned scholar, a Muslim, a descendant of the Prophet Muhammad(Sallalahu Alaih Wa Sallam). He is one of the most influential scholars in the West , a charismatic speaker in both Arabic and English. He resides in Syria and works worldwide.
He is an instructor in the Grand Omayyad Mosque and Shaykh Muyiddin Ibn
'Arabi's mosque, where he teaches the various disciplines of the
shari'a, as he has been doing for 35 years.
In his recent interview with Takbeer TV Shaykh Y'aqoubi advocated Imam Ahmed Raza Khan(Rehmatullahi Alaih) as a Mujaddid from Indian Subcontinent and praised his works.

I'm from india and a mureed from silsila of imam ahmed raza khan rehmatullahalai . Imam ahmed raza rehmatullahalai was not a sayyed but when shaykh Yaqoubi says sayyed he means the leader of a particular qabila . As huzoor sallalaho alaihiwasallam said that leader or guider of a qabila is its sayyed( leader).

If u read Surah baqarah from the beginning u will see the bayaan about the munafiqeen. read the translations from ayah 8 and u will see the similarity between wahhabi and munafiqeen

@MegaFNZ This shaykh is so used to doing dikr that even when he is alking his hands automatically pull the beads.It is said that sayyiduna Umar (may allah be pleasedw ith him) would do dikr and recyt drood to such an extent that it became habitual and he would have to place a stone in his mouth when going to answer the call of nature.

@falim2007 you dont understand the thing.when did the names come? why are they being used? because you will know what the person is following by the name, you can say you are moslim and not devbandi, but still you have deobandi belief that if you think about Prophet in salat you salat is not accepted. that are the things. sufism is not a sect, it is a part of the Ahlus Sunnah wal jama'ah, it is the spirituality, bareilly is a name of a town, and the teaching is the same as ahlussunnah

@7866abid Well Shaykh Muhammad Al Yaqoubi Is Not Barelvi. He priases botht the Ullema Of Bareli and Ullema of Deoband. he also promoted reading Hayaatus Sahaba which was written by the son of the founder of Jamaat Tabligh. And called Him Shaykh Muhammad Yusuf Kandhalawi rahimullah. Arab scholars are niether Barelvi or Deobandi. I am Deobandi and I have loads of respect For Imam Ahmad Raza Khan Barelvi (ra) do not turn this into secterian issues.

i respect some practisings of the Sufis, like the science of the heart, but many things some sects practise is far away from the original Shariah of Islam, which have been practised by the Salaf al salih( the companions of the Prophet ,sallalahu aleihi wa sallam)

Before everyone gets too excited that the respectable Sheikh yaqoubi conferred upon Maulana Ahmed Raza, the title of Mujaddid, it’s worth recalling that during his first historical visit to England, he was invited to address a large gathering of people in Ghamkhol sharif masjid. The topic of his talk was about the signs of coming hour and in particular the advent of Imam Medhi .Realising that his audience is predominantly South Asian, from the Indian Subcontinent he mentioned with deference and admiration the opinion regarding Imam medhi, of Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanvi of Deoband,in the following words; the “Great Mujaddid, the revivalist of the 20 century, Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanwi Rta. ............”. He must have come to realise afterwards that the masses who had gathered to listen to him were Berelvi followers of Maulana Ahmed Raza khan Saab. It’s obvious that Sheikh Yaqoubi was unaware of Maulana Saab because he like his predecessors was only too familiar with the accomplishments and legacy of the True Ulama e haq, the heirs of the Prophetic mission, the Ulama of Deoband, who Sheikh Yaqoubi remembers in glowing terms every time he recites his chain of isnad., since the towering figures of the Ulama Deoband had certified the educational credentials of his predecessors and granted them permission to teach. As a result of this some minor figures in the Berelvi school in England, including the likes of sheikh asrar rashid and his minions started a propaganda campaign to discredit Sheikh Yaqoubi . Sheikhs associations and close affiliations with the Ulama Deoband remain very strong

Bareilly is a place in India. Just like, imam Bukhari Alayhir rahmah . That's not his name , he's called bukhari because it's the name of his town. Ala hazrat was from Bareilly , hence barelvi is the title. Unfortunately it's been propagated that Bareilly is a new sect, but if you take the time to read and study ala hazrat works you will find it is not a new sect at all.

Mohammed Shabir It is not a sect in itself. Barelwis are Sunnis by definition and we are all connected via every sunnis be it in Syria, Egypt, Morocco and elsewhere. The name comes from the Mujaddid Imam Ahmad Rida Khan who is from a place/town called Bareilly Shareef in the Indian subcontinent. The name is usually attributed to his followers (not a sect per se).
You have used the words barevli Shariff what do these words mean.?
bareilly is just the name of the town, Shareef is like noble, due to the Imaam.
Bareilly is a hindu name must have a meaning as all hindu names have a meaning.
It may be a hindu name but it has nothing to do with Islam. A name is just a name and a town called Bareilly doesn't mean all the people are hindus. But to be honest, I don't know what it means.

Dhikr literally means "remembrance" and so his dhikr of Allah does not have to be articulated by the tongue only but it can also be done in the heart.
[As found in Sidi Mayyara's sharh of Al-Murshid Al-Mu'īn: the lowest form of dhikr is through the tongue only; then through the heart only; then through both the heart and tongue.]
Naturally, it is difficult to intentionally remember Allah in the heart whilst conversing with someone (initially!). However, with practice comes and ease and with Shaykh Muhammad Al-Yaqoubi being a student of the sciences of tasawwuf since a young age, we can tell this dhikr is easier for him to do.
May Allah allow us to reach a state of remembrance too In Sha Allah.

Abh lahab came before the prophet. He never came directly from the prophets own blessed blood and semen. How can someone who is offspring of the prophet ever be misguided. Read durood Ibrahim. We pray for the prophet and his family. Ahlul bayt.
There is no blind following there is nothing more intellectually satisfying and peaceful than the works of imam Ahmed rida Khan r.a.
