Thank you! Straight to the point. Honest about the time frame. Takes a while.
Thank you!!! Also your pup is adorable!
That is beautiful paper! Nicely done
Good course. Some prefer the plumbline - I do it your way bc of the chalk bleeding through the seam. If papering to a corner, there should be a small of excess around it. Most important, I strongly recommend a snap-blade knife to ensure the edge is always razor sharp! Watch using a plastic cut guide - the knife will jump onto it - trust me!
You make me feel like, I could actually give it a go. Thank you so much 💓
You can do it!! Its easier than you think. It's a decent amount of work, but you got this!
Hi Alyssa!!....cute smile!........thanks for the video...General Contractor here....I love your humility....
I love your informative, yet easy going style. I'm off to buy my paste! Hope it comes out as well as your! (and loved the dog interruption LOL)
Thank you so much.. im doing this in my living room. Love the dog...
Thank you 🥰. I'll be attempting this later this week for the first time 😅
Great Work, Love the Dog insert (smiles), thanks for your Teaching, Now im good to go 🙂
Best of luck Aubrey! You got this!!
Love the wallpaper and the girl!
What's neat to me, is some cultures use rugs on the walls and even historically fabric was used as wallpaper. I literally made a double sided curtain to cover most the outside wall at my house in Allegan where one side was white fleece and the other side black fleece. Then I did the trim and tie ends on the one (top) side to hang over the curtain hanger and where tacked on the wall. Summertime, white side out and wintertime black side out.
Wonderful coverage❤
You did a really nice job. Good work! 👍🙂
Great video. very informative, easy to follow, and not drawn out like some others. Thanks!
nice, thanks
You have a very helpful channel.
Glad to hear that!
You’re a queen ily
Thanks sister. Ily2
Good work
This was so helpful! Thank you
Thank you !
You did an amazing job! Holy Moly I LOVE that paper! It's absolutely gorgeous. What's the brand and pattern name? The link is only to OFS. I'm thinking about papering panels and edging them with cheap molding trips I can paint. I really wish wallpaper was allowed in my apartment. The old killjoys. It's ok, my way is portable! I don't get mad. I get creative!
Thank you so much, Dawn! I am working on getting the links all up today. In the meantime, this is the paper I used - www.onlinefabricstore.com/seabrook-designs-lotus-floral-metallic-gold-and-off-white-wallpaper-.htm
Some use liquid starch to put fabric on walls of rentals. It does not show up when fabric is removed. I heard as a military family trick, you know moving all the time.
@@onlinefabricstore that you! 🥰🤗
@@lorismith4144 Great idea! Thank you so much. I even think OFS has a video tutorial on just that. I'm going to find and rewatch it right now! Thank you so much 🤗
Then I did the trim and tie ends on the one (top) side to hang over the curtain hanger and where tacked on the wall.
Good job ! 🙌
An hour to an hour and a half PER PANEL??! holy moly I hope it doesn’t take me that long.
The more you do the faster it will go by!
That seems super long.
Our family has been in the painting and wallpaper business for a hundred years. Paper matches straight across or every other one. Cut your paper up all at once on a table or paper boards. And use a plumb line. Also plumb from the corner not the middle of the wall. Use a wallpaper smoothing brush to get bubbles out, not a hard edged smoother. You wind up pushing all the paste from under the seams, will come loose later.
I can’t imagine it taking that long😮
My mum is super fast... That wall would take her an hour... Job done. She's had years of practice 😂
I have experienced shrinking using the paste on the wall method. Therefore my seams came apart when it dried. Years ago we papered using a method called “booking”. The paste was put on the paper first and then you folded the paper and let it set for awhile. Any recommendations or opinions using this method for A Street Prints?
Thanks for sharing ❤
Most important, I strongly recommend a snap-blade knife to ensure the edge is always razor sharp!
Thanks for not editing out the dog because my toddlers were watching this with me and said “doggy!” And began to woof woof
Half way through I was like, what happened to the first girl talking? Then realized you got a haircut and hair dyed!
How could someone get a haircut and a dye job in the middle of a wallpapering job?
It's best to mark a straight line about 18 inches from the corner If you are doing the whole room and let the first piece wrapS around the corner, that way your first piece is straight to the RIGHT EDGE, the corner will take care of itself. It is what it is, Then, every other piece is straight when matched to the straight line. I think you misunderstood the process OR had bad info.
LOL learn from my mistakes. I learned this lesson the hard way.
@@onlinefabricstore Yes, the reason we tile layers and the Wallpaper guys, start in the center was in case the tile or paper got a little out of line it would look wop sided from one end to the other, but if you start in the middle it could only get off tracked a little each way. Its an old trade secret not really needed anymore because of lasers, just by a 25 dollar laser on Amazon and you can do as I stated, start on the far left. But, with no laser, start in the middle, but only close to the middle, therefore you can figure out how to get two full pieces to a corner, thus you might have to fudge the middle a little.
P.S. I earn a lot from watching other people even though I have done this 50 plus years. I saved my mom buying a new dryer because I learned you can clean the contact points and in most cases it will start working again, just a file or sandpaper. So, its all good.
What is the glue paste you use?
And hour and a half per panel?!?!?! That’s crazy! I couldn’t help but notice that your smoothing process was a little too hard… I was feeling myself getting tense each time you pressed the flat edge to the paper… way to much pressure! Beautiful wallpaper, I love the finished result, great work overall, perhaps I wouldn’t have chosen some methods you demonstrated here… like cutting against the flat edge (as it’s plastic, I prefer metal ones, they make it much easier to cut away), but overall, great finished look!
Never start midway fatal…hilarious tutorial😂
can use laser for set the line straights
Wow 👍
thank you🤗
Nice 👍😄
Thanks 😆
Does this remove easily without damage ?
Steam it off.
Always better to use a brush to smooth it out as using a plastic smoother can damage the surface on
Some wallpapers.
It is definitely something worth checking out on your first panel. My paper was WAY to thick for that to have worked, but it depends!
What is that wallpaper pattern, and where did you get it? It's exactly what I'm looking for.
I gottchu! You can find it here - www.onlinefabricstore.com/seabrook-designs-lotus-floral-metallic-gold-and-off-white-wallpaper-.htm
Why start in the middle?
How do you go around corners
i think you have to have the same panel wrapping around. look it up? im not an expert but i think it has to be the same panel that goes around
Boop on the Snoop
much easier to paste the wall not the paper.
Way better to take the baseboards off before you start.
Doesn't cover how to mix paste or prepare it. At the same time, too many dictations regarding measuring and placement. An artistic project such as this should include a bit of "wing it!!", or it simply ain't worth doing!! Unfortunately seemed like an imbalanced directional video but I appreciate the effort despite I didn't think it was great. Wallpapering is exciting and should have a fun hit or miss element to it. Paste was where I needed help. Hopefully mine isn't the kind requiring mixing. It's in a tub from Home Depot. I'm Slavic. We LOVE wallpaper!! 🌼💮💐
Dear god. 2" over lap top and bottom, trim it up, wipe it down, and move on that wall. It should take 30- 40 minutes after the paper is booked and ready to hang
Very informative video. However, I find getting intimate with an animal, rather repulsive.
what? where does it say that???
Love the wallpaper and the girl!
