With Ski School Experts we are re-writing the handbook on how ski tuition videos are made, using ski movie production values and aiming to inspire skiers as well as inform. Building on the success of the Ski School Beginners, Intermediate ("The must-have ski app" - The Sunday Times) and Advanced apps, Ski School Experts completes the progression.
Aimed at improving the skiing of both recreational skiers and ski instructors in training, the app combines high-quality video lessons with split-screen video analysis, diary and more.

The first thing to do is make sure your ages and sharp. Even a very good skier on badly prepared skis will struggle on ice, stay confident and make sure you are balanced perfectly on your skis hands in front in a good ready position. Good luck hope this helps.

Hi Michel. Thanks for the feedback. Android is definitely on the radar but for now we have iPhone, Windows (WP7) and Nokia Symbian versions available. We'll let everyone know through Facebook, Twitter and RUclips when the new products are on their way. Cheers.

hey, Darren- I'm psyched to see you'll be doing some expert videos. Although I've skiied for over 40 years, I've only recently joined the shaped ski revolution, and your videos really got me up to speed with carving. Thank you for that! Can't wait to see your new stuff...

There are lots of reasons why we aren't late with the experts app I hope we will have it for this season but we are already in March?!.

@elatemedia Hope I go for skiing within a month. One question - could you please make a movie where you explain position of hands during a turn and pole plant. I see (what I like) you slightly drive and bend your elbow before each pole plant (I hope you know what I mean) and what should be a proper distance between both hands. Great job!

@si7fis The most important thing is to be honest about what sort of skiing you will do the most, if freestyle is something you do a lot of then get a freestyle ski if you like a ski that performs well on the piste get a piste ski or a race ski. Have a good think about what you will use it for I hope this helps.

@blackfox135 Hi blackfox, to me an advanced skier is somebody who's happy on all pistes and starting to venture of piste. The levels in skiing are very difficult to judge, I hate the word intermediate because it can mean such a wide range of abilities, and people have different opinions of what an intermediate or advanced skier is. I often teach what I would call advanced skiers that really need some basic principles explained, the fundamentals are always important no matter what level. Darren.

Hey there, your videos are by far the best. Keep it up, also you should do a lesson for approaching and dropping into the fluffy stuff as you did at 1:05 in the video.

I think there was a time, 3 years ago, when I checked this page for updates religiously when I woke up. Every morning searching, waiting, hoping, but only silence. Then this morning I had 3 new emails from elatemedia. Could it be the Expert Videos are on the Horizon???......

It does work well on the iPad, but at the moment it is not iPad specific it will be coming soon,hope you enjoy the films.

There are a few reasons why we are behind but we are trying to get all of our material out, unfortunately we have been focused on releasing apps for android but experts will happen.

I have question. I have trouble skiing on ice. My skis are Salomon X-wing 8. Dont know is it problem with me or bad skis, but on soft snow i can use my edges and do carv but when i go on hard snow or ice my edges are sliding and i lose control and balance ;/ Cant put weight on down leg ;/

What are your thoughts on the volkl rtm 80 skiis, for mainly hard pack days and a bit glade skiing?

@smicha7 Hi smicha7. We've already filmed a lesson for this and it's in our Ski School Advanced app (available for iOS devices and Nokia Smartphones). It's also coming to this channel, so keep an eye out.
