    Took em long enough, can’t wait for FM to catch onto other groundbreaking innovations too, such as purchasable spare parts

    Dude, You are shredding!
    Updated mine yesterday. It really unlocked my downhill capabilities and gave me more confidence with my downhill speeds. Really feels like a new board. Can't wait for this ankle to heal up 100%

    Thanks for the review. Definitely seems like an overall improvement. I did notice on Flow that the board felt a little looser on stock settings so I'm playing around with the settings in the app to see what I prefer. It's probably easier to carve sharp corners now I'm just not used to it yet.

      I haven’t tried flow after the update but also didn’t expect them to make that many changes. Having a more stable tire might help if you’re still on stock as well.

    awesome video bro, happy to see someone testing out the update on bonks and drops. it still seemed to have a fair amount of tail drag, I was hoping it would fully level it out. My bonks are struggling because of tail drag.

    • @Alloutjose
      @Alloutjose  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks man! I’d say tail drags have been improved but not completely solved.

    So if I understand, I should update from my rewheel? All I want is to stop tail dragging every god damn second… will giving up my rewheel fix that?

    • @Alloutjose
      @Alloutjose  5 месяцев назад

      @@jackijackdarth1938 Tail drags are heavily reduced by custom shaping but you have to figure out what settings work best for you. The novelty to a rewheeled board is riding past 20mph without pushback comfortably.

    Nice shredding Jose !! So before I update with my W rails I set back to 0 degrees? Makes sense cause all my modes are at 3° nose up in 3.0 to level my board. Then when I do the upgrade, Will I still have good gradient tracking results once I set my level back to 3 degrees nose tilt?

    • @Alloutjose
      @Alloutjose  6 месяцев назад

      Thanks Jose and great question! I haven’t messed with nose angle since my board was leveled out before the update. I’m curious to know how much gradient tracking works with nose angle maxed out.

  • @bigwavedaveskate

    With the update I feel like the nose on my board is constantly raised. I also have 357s.

    Great video. I was curious about giving up the rewheel too. I’m pretty good with the way I ride and feel like only the GTS would make me better. I want to really feel the difference and not just be like it’s ok I guess. Like going from an iPhone 5 to an iPhone 15 feels like an upgrade rather than going from a 14 to a 15. I feel like you had a it’s pretty cool I guess reaction to the update. It was honest and I appreciate that. I think I’ll pass on it for now🤙🏽

      Rewheel just helps top speed with no buzz, you can still get those speeds pushing through haptic. besides on trails your not averaging 25+ on segments. Why not update and have the ability to adjust tourqe and turns and how smooth either feels,have the tail drag from drops fixed and be able to climb and descend without dragging nose or tail getting yourself caught up. It’s worth the trade off of not buzzing or delayed pushback for real id update.

    • @obiwan-wheel8113
      @obiwan-wheel8113 6 месяцев назад +1

      @@JohnCena-yu3vw I’m stoked you like the update. Every rider is different. I had the original haptic update. I wasn’t impressed so I had it rolled back and rewheeled. I hoped this new update might change my mind. If you think that’s all ReWheel does then I understand your position. Minimal changes to the ride to sacrifice repairing my board when I’m already a very good rider isn’t worth it. I don’t have issues with my riding and I would want a board to level up my skill, not compensate for the lack of it. FM has done the Trojan Horse thing to many times to those of us that have been around a while. Until I feel the update is worth it, for me, the juice isn’t worth the squeeze.

      @@obiwan-wheel8113 I get that perspective I’m aware rewheel does a little more then that and if your running after market battery definitely don’t update 😅 but yea man I get it you’ve got the skills down on what it’s been but riding characteristics is a game changer and helps you perform better on the trails believe it or not. Especially switching over from FM to Vesc now I feel way faster because I’ve learned that board feel from FM boards and vesc is now just giving me all the cheat codes to think less and ride hard.

    Thank you for your video as always Jose. I did re-watch your GTS gradient tracking video. Really excited to see the GT got this now. Is 4-3-14 still what you are using? Or have anything changed since?
