You should try the First Class lounge in Terminal E if you’re doing this again and have a bit more time. It has a terrace where you can check out the waiting aircraft and airport activity, and there are also a couple of bedrooms, in case you need a sleep. Also a great restaurant, of course.
I flew Lufthansa and Swiss and British Airways First Class to North America (to SF multiple times and once to Chicago). Ranking would be Swiss and Lufthansa equally on top and British Airways more like a Business Class with a wider seat. Best thing about BA First Class is the Concorde Room in London Heathrow. Otherwise food and service are miles behind the other two airlines.
Hhhmmmm, not so sure about the Concorde Lounge. We were there a few weeks ago and had people lying on the sofas, sleeping and we had to hunt down staff for a menu and then once again to take out order. But then on board the food was great, including lobster.
@@nickgalla-barth6336 Really? Sorry to hear about this experience at the Concorde Room. I remember only one time I ate a nice lobster in an airplane. On Emirates to Dubai and it was in Business not First.
I flew Swiss First from Zurich to J-Burg back in 2016 and it was an unforgettable experience. The airport deck and the Whiskey Bar was unlike anything I had ever experienced and there was just this minimalist perfection to the Cabin and the Suite.
Wow… a really amazing looking trip all in all! Especially the shuttle service and the landing views were insane🤩 Also the suite looked quite comfortable aswell as the four windows for yourself! Onto the next one!😌
I did this flight 2x the other way around (PVG-ZRH), once on 1A and once on 2K (used both times my eVouchers to upgrade) absolutely stunning flights for 14hrs
No wifi is crap. I don't use it, but there is an aspect to traveling First Class where a passenger would want to get work done. They knew it wasn't working before the flight; they could've repaired it beforehand.
@@MC-di7op hello, yes! There was an escort waiting for me, assisting me with immigration (got me in the fast lane basically) and helping with the luggage pick up. He also escorted me to the next checkin! Very quick and efficient.
were you in the E Concourse lounge? i am flying LHR-ZRH-JNB, August 8th ( Business- LHR-ZRH ) in First from ZRH-JNB. Once you land from the UK/Europe, is it possible to enter the First lounge in concourse A, and be driven via car service/limo, to Concourse E, as I have seen in other past videos? ( or does one have to walk through a checkpoint to get to concourse E ) hoping there is a quick way for this as I only have a two-hour layover between flights and would like to somewhat enjoy the E concourse lounge. Great video. Thank you for any guidance and safe travels.

@@jimbohr realistically coming from LHR you should be arriving at the E gates when you fly with BA, On a LX flight its either gonna be B/D or E. If you arrive at the E concourse perfect. @@christianbayerstein5243 they only had caviar for a short while I believe. Personally, I don’t mind and I really enjoyed the salmon! But i understand that this might be bothersome to some!
Unlike Lufthansa Swiss doesn't serve caviar. They serve an excellent salmon instead. I remember the caviar service on a Lufthansa A340 from San Francisco back to Munich. The crew celebrated serving this course. Asked if you want onions with it and prepared it in front of you. And of course offered a vodka with the caviar. Very pleasant experience.
Swiss serve caviar once a year as one of their quarterly Connoisseur Experiences. This started in late February 2024 and went from about 2 weeks (I think it’s only on outbound flights from Switzerland). It’s not always at the same time, as I’ve previously had it in May. It includes three different brands of caviar, including a Swiss one. Definitely a great experience!
