Our air fryer looks like a small oven and has ended up being the most used kitchen appliance we have, we bake in it all the time. It doesn’t heat up the kitchen, it’s fast and efficient so it has effectively replaced the gas oven! 💕🇨🇦
Hi Stuarr, I watch your lives late ,but do enjoy them as a rule. The red flags on the beach mentioned, were due to crocodile being spotted in the water I believe. Re airfryers, I wouldn't be without mine, and haven't used my oven in over a year. Apart from being faster and the food being healthier, they are so much cheaper to run. In fact today I bought a pink one for my daughter who's in her early 20s.
Anything that you can cook in an oven can be better cooked in an airfryer including cakes, jacket potatoes and you can even dry fruits and herbs. As you can tell we are an airfryer loving family......
My parents were born in 1904 and were always saying the world was falling apart, and I could not understand it. Now at 78, I am saying the same, cosas veredes!
The world WAS actually falling apart between the 1900s and 1950's. Two terrible world wars and the Spanish Civil war thrown in for good measure.
Bought my air fryer, one and a half years ago it’s a two tray one which is better for us we love it. I only used the large oven once a year (Christmas) so a couple of months ago we had our oven taken out and had a three drawer unit put in it’s place win win 😊. We bought a large drawer one for the patio for pizza etc and did away with barbecue they are really easy to clean as well
Hi stu and guests. I’m 75 and like that 65 year old i don’t recognize the world either. It definitely has changed. At times i’m nostalgic and at other times i’m amazed how the world has changed. For better or worse, one’s outlook depends on the successes of retirement plans or if you even made any.
I have the double ninja air fryer, we still use the hob for stir fries and eggs, the oven for pizza.. everything else is in the air fryer. We also have the outdoor ninja wood fire grill which has an air fryer and oven feature. You would be able to put two big chickens in the outdoor one on air fryer
Yes, I see many foreigners working in low paid jobs. Here in Terrassa, roadworks are done by Moroccans, bar/ restaurant workers and carers for the elderly are South American. Many Chinese people have bars and cafés that would otherwise be closed. Inmigrants do jobs that Spanish people don't want to do.
Why do u live in Terrassa? There's no beach nearby
In La Palma there are a few dozen stores owned and operated by Chinese people. These stores sell all types of household goods, tools, stationary, basic electrical goods like bulbs, extension cords, etc, , kitchen goods etc... Often lower prices than other stores and open long hours.
@@manuelfg2902no, I don't live here. Just staying for the summer.
An AF is pretty good, you have to get use to it. And most everything can be cooked in there, you can even hard/soft/easy boil eggs. So it can replace your oven and for some your stove top. It won't heat up your house as much as an oven would.
Casares is a pueblo (there's also a costa) located just west of Estepona on the Costa del Sol
I’m a new user of the air fryer (modestly sized, 8 quart). I’ve used it to nicely toast frozen french fries and to nicely refreshens (outside crusty with soft inside) hard stale bread. I will try more, but i still use the more conventional cooking devices. My 8 qt device seems to small to do a whole chicken though. As a good idea, i bought an inexpensive stack of paper liners to lessen the need to clean up.
The suicidal, woke European agenda will finish traditional Europe in our lifetime. As far as the airfryer, it's a great invention. I now make my famous chuletillas de cordero almost exclusively in the airfryer (unless I can get my hands on some nice dried sarmiento branches, in which case it's back to the open grill)
Hola from Santa Pola. We
Use tin foil in our airfryer to avoid the cleaning & so far that has worked well, by laying the food on top of it. Incidentally we haven't noticed smells. So far it's good & means can roast without having a big oven on, so keeping the kitchen cooler. Adios
Yes, concentrated housing towers can be architecturally ugly in the opinion of many. The soviets built them too as did the USA, however, I have seen examples of them done well. Firstly, if everyone had individual properties this would not be more sustainable since more energy, water, water treatment, piping, streetlights and streets would be needed. Urban sprawl as we have in California is not the answer. California is moving to higher housing density because it is more efficient and sustainable. Secondly, I've been in Bilbao for a month studying spanish. I've traveled the camino frances twice, Barcelona 3 times, valencia, madrid and my beloved Bilbao three times, and anyone saying that Spain is ugly is absolutely crazy. The people are what makes Spain so beautiful.
Re the article on “ugly Spain” I am always surprised about the amount of care that is devoted to things like street lighting and street furniture in Spain, not to mention the attractive patterned pavements etc. It’s always struck me as far superior to the utilitarian design you see on British streets. But I imagine the article is talking about suburbs and urban areas
The air fryer works like a convection oven. What I like is it is smaller and heats faster than my stove oven which is much larger and takes longer to heat up.
It's more of a forced air convection oven. Cooks faster and more evenly. Great for fatty meats and fish (like Salmon) but have to watch carefully for chicken or lean cuts of meat.
Hi All, sorry missed another live stream. I´ve had an air fryer in my apartment in the states for many years; I bought one here about 2 years ago and it is amazingly easy to clean, no smell and no problem with teflon. The best " just here to look" purchase. LOL!
Great video as always Stu! Heard an interesting take on low birth rates. Farming folks tended to have a lot of kids cuz you need the labor. So earned their keep. But having kids for folks in a city environment is like having expensive pets. Nice to have around, but expensive to keep. Yikes!
I've been going to Spain for many years and my Mother - now RIP - moved there in the late 70's so then I visited more (from NZ) and I love Spain but always thought it looked like an unfinished building site and untidy in general. However if you are laid back - and we certainly are that here downunder as well - then something tends to be left undone and that IMO is better than a clean hell - as the Swede's would say - its funny in Swedish, where my mother was from. Probably wont be coming back now but it sounds like the good days are over anyway with Europe and the West in general being firmly in self destruction mode I'll be staying here in the bush from now on; just me the Puddytat and Mary Jane...
Make sure it has two drawer's. For chip's in one drawer. Brian Mac.
In my neighborhood when I was growing up there was a family with 13 children, 12 girls and one boy! Between middle school, high school and college had 5 of the girls as classmates. I used to help maintain the family cars as I had good mechanical skills and tools I. High school and college. I once asked the father why so. Many children and he told be he always wanted his own baseball team. Lovely people. Catholics of course.
I bought a cheap air fryer in Carrefour but I use it a lot. Whole roast chicken, chips, lasagne, cakes, etc.
But Stu, won't the air fryer replace your barbie 😉?
how can a person without papers be given an age? All Chinese work in Shops. owners or staff. Hardly see a Spaniard work in them.
what do the Brits do, that cannot all be pensioners ?
The countryside is being blighted with turbines too. You liked Vigo but IMHO it is yet another ugly city.
Re: the comment about the lack of action by Guardia Civil, leaving getting Puigdemont to the Mossos.
I thought the biggest mistake that the central government made during the constitutional crisis of the Catalan referendum and street protests, was when the Guardia Civil ordered the Mossos to remain in their barracks.
The reason that I thought this is because it triggered memories of the Franco regime's efforts to limit regional self determination, with (beyond banning of regional language spoken, broadcast media, printed media, etc.) the Guardia Civil infamously using officers from distant regions in order to mitigate potential local sympathies from military police... one of the primary early demands by Basque and Catalan nationalists was the establishment of local police. This led to, for example, the establishment of the Mossos in Catalunya.
For the central government to order the Guardia Civil to prevent the local Catalan police from leaving their barracks only served to remind Catalan (and Basque) nationalists of the dark days of Franco... most definitely not a good thing.
BTW- in our trip to Barcelona three weeks ago, we noted how much our talking to locals (taxi drivers, hospitality, etc.) uncovered lack of interest in local nationalism, almost fatigued by the politicians' efforts to make issues larger (including the "anti- tourism" protests, which were considered more a level of political media event than a grassroots protest).
Jesus!! I've been using air fryers 7 years ago. Where have you been hiding? Under a rock?
You must be freaking loaded if you can afford a trip to South America. How do you make any money? You're always on RUclips.
