As a kid, I would watch Lilo and Stitch a lot, my mom would tell me that I used to try and dance to the opening hula, my TuTu came from Maui and moved to the mainland for college, so Lilo and Stitch was the closest thing to my heritage when I wasn’t with my TuTu

Hula was the first dance I learned, I was 6. Beautifully danced by this lovely couple. The hands tell the story...... I subbed...........I miss my home.
It looks so flowy and soft and mellifluous, but their breathing at the end it says that it is hard work! Really beautifully done. This is my first time seeing actual humans hula dance, and I think it's time for me to look in to it more!
This dance is so beautiful. The words, meaning, movement. All of it, beautiful. I love and admire how the contrast of the Woman's movements, soft and flowey and the Man strong and purposeful both move gracefully in sync with each other. I say this with the highest respect, this dance goes HARD!!! 😍🤩🤩😍💕 💯
Absolutely gorgeous! Many thanks for translating the meaning of the song, it's very beautiful. Both their movements were so fluid and graceful, the masculine and feminine showing both powerful stances and gentle movement. I could watch this all day, thank you for sharing this 💕💕

Finally! A translation for a beautiful praise! The hula dancers were flawless as they moved as the elements of the water & air, very Divine inspirational! Beautifully done! 🥰🫶🌺🇵🇷👍🏆👏👏👏
This is so beautiful to watch. I’m glad i watched Lilo and Stitch just for learning about this beautiful song, dance and Hawaiian culture that tends to misrepresented so easily by ppl who doesn’t care much about culture. I envy Hawaiians and all the different indigenous tribes who have these distinct, unique, beautiful and powerful cultures
I danced this song when I was 4 years old in a school function, when I did it I felt very connected and grounded to a point that my mother started happy crying one day while I was practicing. Always remembered the song but never had the idea for how to look for it, and suddenly this appears. I'm crying with emotion and happiness, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT. Thanks Universe ❤️
I know this might be stupid to say but I remember this song from Lilo and Stitch. I remember how beautiful the music was and the movements they did. I wouldn't have thought they would be correct. It made me curious about the Hawaiians and the culture. At the time I didn't have access to a computer or the time to go to a larger library that would have information about the Hawaiian culture, but now I do. Thank you for this beautiful dance and bringing back the memory.
Soooo beautiful! I can't stop watching it over and over... Got to know about Hawaii in the movie Lilo and Stich when the movie came and fell in love with it. There is something magical in this song and in this dance that brings peace to my heart and mind. Thank you so much for this beautiful performance! Best regards from your Brazilian fan ❤
Getting to see this, with translation for the lyrics. I love this dance, and I love it even more with the lyrics. The dancers are visibly just enjoying themselves and that's amazing! I also like that there is subtle differences in the dance style between them.
I lived in Hawaii through grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. I loved all the festivals, songs, music, dancing, people, food, forests, climate... ❤ There are times that I still miss it. My first impression of what a beach should be was forever imprinted in me by those beaches; every other beach has been a complete letdown. I still celebrate Lei Day every May 1.

I think this is the first time I’ve seen *actual* hula done by people that know what they’re doing. This is mesmerizing.
❤❤❤totally amazing! I love how people love and honour their cultures and traditions.
Hearing this song hit me with a wave of nostalgia that smelled like ocean breeze
Какая нежность в танце😍 сколько достоинства и чистоты! Очень красиво!
It looks like easy step but it's not. These couple is great. Kudos !!!
LA MELODÍA Y LA DANZA SON SIMPLEMENTE
HERMOSOS !!!!
❤❤❤
Absolutely gorgeous! Many thanks for translating the meaning of the song, it's very beautiful. Both their movements were so fluid and graceful, the masculine and feminine showing both powerful stances and gentle movement. I could watch this all day, thank you for sharing this 💕💕
I'm not gonna lie...I think this is so beautiful I shed a tear whenever I watch it.
I was just going to say the same 🥹💜
I really appreciate them remembering Kalākaua and giving him his respect with this beautiful dance and song.
How gorgeous! I hope that these songs and dances are preserved forever.
Ugh this was my favorite part of the Lilo and Stitch movie as a little girl and now that I’m older to know what that song means I feel just a piece of my childhood is healed 😂🥰🥰
One thing i always love about this song is that it verbally and explicitally invokes Queen Lili'ulani 💜
Liliuokalani 😊
No idea how I got here, but this is absolutely beautiful beyond words.
i can’t stop watching this. i love this song and the dancing is so beautifulll it makes me want to learn how to dance like that
I have watched this on repeat. It's so beautiful and mesmerizing.
Stunning , keep on showing your culture . Seen Native, now Hawaiian , who will be next...❤️👏👏😊

Finally! A translation for a beautiful praise! The hula dancers were flawless as they moved as the elements of the water & air, very Divine inspirational! Beautifully done! 🥰🫶🌺🇵🇷👍🏆👏👏👏
凄い何度も見てしまうくらい素敵…
Harmony, peace, beauty and sync this make me feel .... It's overwhelming joy inside...this is how people should be!!!!
The movements are so graceful, poised, and elegant. I could watch them for hours. 😭❤️
Absolutely breathtaking!
Her dancing is like if someone combined flowing waves with a flower. His is graceful yet powerful, like a lion.
I could watch this all day it's so beautiful. I really miss dancing hula. Wish i could dance again
I love this style of music. It’s so bright and beautiful and comforting ❤
Как это удивительно красиво!!!!! Простые движения,но так плавно с грацией, удивительное чувство ритма. Завораживает!
В этих движениях чудесный мир- море, деревья, небо!
Beautiful song, singers and dancers thanks for sharing this video ☺️❤️❤️❤️from England 🏴🌹🙋
Чарующая музыка, чарующий танец, затрагивает самые потаённые струны души, и так красиво танцуют! Браво!
i love how so many different cultures have different dances . this is one of my favourites.
I could never forget the sweetness of this dance and the delight of this song
I danced this song when I was 4 years old in a school function, when I did it I felt very connected and grounded to a point that my mother started happy crying one day while I was practicing. Always remembered the song but never had the idea for how to look for it, and suddenly this appears. I'm crying with emotion and happiness, I CAN'T BELIEVE IT.
Thanks Universe ❤️
Damn. I first listened to this song 20 years ago and hearing it now I never realized before how important it was to my psyche and peace.
Oh goodness i am crying... That was beautiful...🌻♥️
This is one of the most beautiful dances and cultures I’ve ever seen. I just finished learning basic hula dances❤
Getting to see this, with translation for the lyrics. I love this dance, and I love it even more with the lyrics. The dancers are visibly just enjoying themselves and that's amazing! I also like that there is subtle differences in the dance style between them.
They move like the waves of the ocean 😮
I lived in Hawaii through grades 1st, 2nd, and 3rd.
I loved all the festivals, songs, music, dancing, people, food, forests, climate... ❤
There are times that I still miss it.
My first impression of what a beach should be was forever imprinted in me by those beaches; every other beach has been a complete letdown.
I still celebrate Lei Day every May 1.
Thank you for adding the lyrics.
Какие красивые движения, необычные.... Танец рук - нечто завораживающее... И музыка - ритмично спокойная... Это нечто!!!!!
Конечно же, видно "постановка рук, корпуса". Это профессионалы танцоры.
This is even more beautiful than ballet.
This is a holy dance unto God.
Such a deepful meaning! There's always something enchanting and capturing of Hula dance. Something that I can't really put my fingers on. Its like the foods to my soul!
I love their passion their movements really says how much fun they’re having
I love how graceful hula is, and how the movements match the meaning so well!! Beautiful!!
Очень красивый и гармоничный танец и музыка потрясающая.
Oh my god! Finally! After years of adoring the song and dance I finally understood what it meant! Thank you so much.
They are both so talented and beautiful. The whole thing is so beautiful and precious. My family did not share a culture of their own with me. I am so happy for these dancers. ❤
Lovely! Takes me back 25 yrs. My College had a Pacific Island Dance club and this was one of the choreographies we learned. Thanks for sharing!
I actually started taking hula lessons a few months ago because of this exact video! Thank u SO much for inspiring me🙏🙏
I love how peacefully they deliver each steps
As a kid you were "this sounds so good"
As you grow up and understands more you like " darn this is damn beautiful"
This is absolutely mesmerizing. The incredibly soft and flowing motions are truly spellbinding 😍
Lilo and Stitch was one of my absolute favorite movies as a kid, and I'm honestly surprised I didn't break the VHS with the amount of times I rewind it in an attempt to learn both 5his dance an the song. I did not succeed 😂
That dance was so amazing! Thank you for sharing! I confess to be in tears from the beauty of it. ❤❤❤❤
Truly beautiful, thank you for sharing.
