    What a fantastically inspired, original idea for a video about favourite fragrances! 💯💯😃 Gosh, I really do learn something every day. And I find myself easily relating to this 'GIGIL' phenomenon when it comes to certain fragrances (I'd just never heard anybody frame their 'instant love' in this way, so good!). I have the same reaction to Roses Vanille. It's not a profile I normally really go for, that saccharine-sweet syrupy style, but I just go wild for it, it feels like a party starter if that makes sense and I instantly feel light-hearted and energetic when I smell it. The other one is a fragrance I mentioned to you in another comment, Une Nuit Magnetique. It's a contemporary homage to the more bombastic, flamboyant, unapologetically feminine big fruity florals from the 1980s and it makes me feel equally as carefree and happy. It's not for everybody, I do get that but it's a unicorn in my collection. A creamy, silky smooth beautiful composition with highest quality ingredients and balanced to perfection. Sometimes I just pick it up just to take off the lid and sniff the atomiser alone because it affects me exactly in the way you described in your video here. 😃🥰☺

    What a great video idea!
    Yes, there are fragrances that make our brains and hearts fly apart.
    For me, it was Galop by Hermès! I remember I couldn't get it out of my head when I first tried it.
    Next, Joyeuse Tubéreuse - Guerlain.
    And Ambre 114 -Histoires de Parfums a fragrance that is so cocooning that I never want to finish the bottle!
    I remember the first time I smelled Ambre Cashmere - Parfum de Nicolai, I thought I'd completely lost my mind. I was automatically transported back to my childhood in my grandmother's loving arms. I had tears in my eyes.
    And one last one that completely seduced my nose and my heart - Dior Homme - EDP. This fragrance instantly projected the image of the perfect man into my mind.
    Thank you for the video, Iga. 🥰

    Love the thumbnail. 😂 I totally know the feeling. I used to call them expletive scents. For...obvious reasons. 😉😆 The verbal result of a raging nosegasm that can't be contained. Most likely due to a form of psychological dissonance. Unfortunately, the feeling doesn't last for me, as successive wearings tend to dilute the effect. But I am seeing a bit of a theme to your preferences Iga. 🤔 A certain kind of hedonic sweetness perhaps? No surprise that brands caught on to the stimulating effect of adding vanillin sometime around 2014. 🤤 Great vid!!

    • @pixieandthenotes
      @pixieandthenotes  5 месяцев назад

      You are not the best at commiting, hugh? Well, definitely all those scents have sweetness in common. Obviosly it's not only about that, because I really don't like most contemporaty sweet compositions. The thing is I decided not to analyse it too much, they do what they do to me and I will happily take it 😀

    Yes! I smelled one perfume that made cry. Serge Luten's Fille de Berlin, a vintage rose-geranium scent with a modern twist. It was wonderful! My recent favorites are Xerjoff's Erba Pura, Serge Luten's Chergui, and a Naxos dupe, Emir Voux Elegante. When I smell them, I feel like floating away to some fantasy-scented cloud. It's like a drugged state where I could stay like that for several hours. Makes me feel lazy and comforted, and comfortable. It's strange. Ha ha

      I wonder if you've tried Tihota by Indult? The purest high quality straight vanilla I know of. The other gorgeous vanilla-forward fragrance you may like to try (if you also like the idea of soft leather and the image of an enormous bell jar filled with the collected steam from a million mugs of hot chocolate) is Absolute Aphrodisiac by Initio. This one has far better performance that Tihota, just better projection and far superior longevity and a gentle but obvious sillage. Good luck finding something delicious that suits YOUR skin and taste.

    Jak zawsze świetny film. Nie wiem jak ludzie mogą narzekać na parametry Orchidee Vanille, wyczuwam je dość mocno nawet po 10h. Moim zapachem, którego mógłbym wrzucić w odcinek jest Grand Soir. Za każdym razem nie mogę wyjść z podziwu jak można zrobić perfumy typowo żywiczne, waniliowe, tonkowe o tak idealnym balansie, które mają w sobie ciężką do opisania "lekkość". Niestety dostaje po nich migreny xDD

      Hej, no własnie dla mnie Orchide są naprawdę trwałe. Cieszę się, że to nie tylko moje zdanie. Ojej, to straszne gdy tak bardzo podziwia się jakiś zapach, a on powoduje ból głowy. Ja musialam pozbyć się w ten sposob Eau Duelle i Oud Bouqet. Piękne ale ból głowy gwarantowany!
