  • Play time! I get a new camera every few years and this time I decided to go for a camera with interchangeable lenses. This camera is brand new and was released yesterday. Whoo Hoo!
This is an unscripted video so please excuse any grammar mistakes and general nonsensical babbling.
The video was taken using my trusty Lumix TZ40.

Never used a mirrorless camera. How good is the EVF on this camera and how does it compare to an OVF?

OMG the HDMI-out is where the hand grip is? Are they kidding us? Now that is a deal breaker.
I always use an external monitor with my cameras and there is no way I can grip this thing while the hdmi cable is plugged in.

I agree, it is a massive pain in the butt! However, HDMI out works on 4K and down scales to 1080p automatically and works in Play and live. Awesome. No sound though. Not so awesome. I guess we will need a small cage.

The smaller lens is not better than the newer 14-42

+zasaf Jessops online or Park Cameras. However, I STRONGLY advise to pick up the 12 - 32 kit lens, as it is cheap as part of the kit.
It seems very few Panasonic lenses are compatible as new firmware has not yet been released even though it was promised for Feb 2016. So if you are going to use a 14-42 Power O.I.S Pancake lens then Dual I.S will be disabled. Doh!
