Really surprised that you passed up the Cat Stevens Tea For The Tillerman. Aside from being a fantastic album, it’s worth $10 - $15 all day long, in good condition
I KNOW! I noticed that I totally missed that one, I must have been distracted, I would have grabbed that. Thanks for watching, appreciate the comments too.
I found that Parliament at Goodwill for $1. My cover was maybe a VG but I had the poster and the book. Bizarre that the metal album was in with all that stuff.
good haul here, even at the non-seniors discount - only one I saw at 1:26 was that 3 album comp - have sold a few here in the store for $10-$20, but its a slow mover... hope those stickers they put on the front are easy to come off - talk to the manager about getting them to put on the back or inside the covers, maybe the colours are code for what days they go out? good to know that as well
Thanks for the BOLO on that LP 👍🏼 the stickers don’t come off super easy but sometimes they do, I’ve even seen them put the stickers on the vinyl! Hate when that happens. Thanks for watching!
That was a good and variegated haul. The Troggs playing in the background at the beginning really set a mood. Believe it or not, I actually saw Petra back in the day with a girlfriend who loved Christian music. I'm surprised at the number of young people in their 20s and 30s who like the big band/swing era.
Thanks for watching the video and catching that. Both albums are good LPs but I still have 4 copies of “Will the Circle Be Unbroken” and believe it or not, I sell more copies of The Kingston Trio, so had to make the right call on that pick. Thanks for watching 👍🏼
12:30 That is probably a great album by the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (DRAGOOOOON, not "dragon" like the fire-breathing kind) and they did a beautiful Scottish bagpipe rendition of 'Amazing Grace' which was later featured in 'Invaders of the Body Snatchers' (1978) starring Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Jeff Goldblum, Veronica Cartwright, Leonard Nimoy, and Kevin McCarthy [who was the main actor in the original 'Invasion of the Body Snatchers' (1956 )]. :)
Thanks so much for the info on that album 👍🏼 I’m going to check that out as well as the other box set and might have to hang on to those LPs. Thanks for watching!
The Thrill Of The Hunt - I watched this video and if i were there, i would have definitely picked up and bought the following albums:- Soundtracks like Against All Odds & Dr. Zhivago, Artists like Harry Belafonte, Kenny Rogers, Roger Whitteker, Sarah Vaughn, Kingston Trio. Instrumentals of Glenn Miller Orchestra, Lionel Hampton, Henry Mancini, Liberace, Lawrence Welk, Victor Sylvester, Bert Kaempfert, Mantovani etc. I wish i was there to buy these bargains! 😊 Thanks for the video!
Thanks for noticing that and making that point, I agree. I am now picking those up again, but you wouldn't believe how many I already have! Thanks for watching!
I guess you dont have a lot of Jazz fans among your clientele? Others have metioned the Sarah Vaughan album No argument that the Johnny Hodges/Lawrence Welk album is an odd pairing, but my sax/woodwind colleagues agree that it's a classic.
Thanks for watching and I do have some jazz customers, also starting to get into a lot of that myself. I’m sure I miss some good ones now and then but learning more everyday, thanks!
@@mountainmanpicker My own list of things that I've let get away over the years, because I had no idea what they were, is monumental, and full of things far more significant than anything you passed on here! I look forward to your next video! 🙂
@@oldskool1979 Thanks for asking! You can find my store on eBay at Five General Store, we do ship to Canada through eBay's Global shipping program. I have not yet put that Parliament album in the store yet, send me an email and we can discuss at: electricstreamrecords@gmail.com. Thanks!
I KNOW! Crazy, but that LP made my picking worth while... could not believe it. You never know what you'll find out there in the wild. Thanks for watching!
Excuse my opinion, but you bore me. this is the reason why prices skyrocket... basically you see in discogs that the record has sold only once for 20, almost certainly MINT, perhaps as a gift, and would you like to sell it VG at the same price of 20 dollars? I would only understand it if you're the only one who owns that LP but that's not the case. In my shop it would be with records for 3 euros max. US use to be the cheapest country, but now.. Jimmy durante 14 Dollars... hahahaah NOT EVEN ACETATE OR PROMO! hahaha ridiculous

I couldn’t believe it when I found the metal album. Sealed and brand new. Love it when that happens 👍🏼 thanks!

Thanks! Yep, I also saw Petra back in the late 70s at a Christian Rock concert, appreciate the comments, as always.
Wow. Imagine pulling out The Kingston Trio but ignoring Will the Circle Be Unbroken?

@@mountainmanpicker I will stay tuned for more. Thank you!
I would have grabbed that Sarah Vaughn, Stan Kenton and that Lionel Hampton Wailin at the Triathlon is really good.
Thanks for the BOLO ideas, I need to check out Sarah Vaughn. Keep on picking!
Nice, I like that Parliament album too I don't have it. I have that Buck Owens it Japan it's a nice pickup.
Thanks for watching! Appreciate the comments and glad we have the same LPs.
It looked like u passed up on several Christian Rock records….I wouldn’t do that cause Christian Rock records / cd’s are very sought after….

NO STREISAND??? This can't be a legit thrift.
lol!! I know, someone must have cleaned them out of Barbara!
and no Neil Diamond lol

Here In Aus it's usually hit or miss or finding unplayable records. TOMAI is a great album.
I’ll check out TOMAI, thanks for watching and cheers to you in Australia 👍🏼

Plenty of glenn miller band i see,,😂
Yep, good old Glenn Miller. Just sold a box set of his this morning online. Thanks for watching!
Do you have an eBay store?
Yes I do, 5 Star General eBay store. Thanks for watching!
Most would be surprised at how many great deals they can get at their local record stores just from owners that misidentified a pressing.
I’m in agreement with you. I have a few really good local record stores that I shop at. Thanks for watching!
Some of the stuff you took vs the stuff you left behind... SMH. You flipped past Sarah Vaughan on Columbia like it was Mitch Miller.
thats what i was sayin. And that Lionel Hampton is the bombdiggity too
Thanks for watching! I need to check out Sarah Vaughn, I will BOLO. Appreciate it 👍🏼
