Smh...
Toyota forgot how to Toyota.
Yeah the only thing you're paying more for is a 12 inch screen and a hybrid...Toyotas are mad overpriced now outside of RAV4, Camry, Prius, Corolla, and other lower entry models. That Crown is crazy overpriced
New world economy
But the pro now is 75k
why Americans are so crazy about the Land Cruiser Prado be named in NA as the Land Cruiser? LC Prado is a Land Cruiser, still J250.
Agree, LC Prado with the real 4 banger. D4D 3.0 diesel!! I will pay 55k for that!
@@roger38888 yeah, 3.0 1KD-FTV was on 4th gen j150. 2.8 1GD-FTV available for the 5th gen j250.
In Japan, LC Prado is available as the Land Cruiser 250 along with the Land Cruiser 300.
I just drove this same trim. It felt rough as a driver and as a passenger sitting on the back. For reference, I have had 3 Tacomas and know what body on frame is. I also currently own a Miata ND that is lowered. Maybe the Landcruiser didn't have the proper air?
Mine comes in Friday! Landcrusier trim with premium package
Congrats. Just out of curiosity, though... how much of a "screwing over the customer" fee does your dealership charge? The one closest to me in MA tacks on another $10K for the mid-level trim. Too much for me.
@@SWog617 my dealer does 0 markup
@RKO859 Nice. Hopefully there are more of them like yours than mine.
Toyota should have used Mazda’s inline 6 w hybrid if they were so concerned about CAFE regs. Otherwise the Mazda I-6 is a powerhouse and reminiscent of FJ era Cruisers (sorry kids not the 07-14 FJ Cruiser) 40-60-80 series.
Reminds me of a X-Terra. Seems like a miserable place to be while driving on the road.
cloth manually adjustable seats...... and models going for about $85 grand canadian for this trim is INSANE
@7:35 - Yes full LED, but are brake lights and turn indicator lights the same?
When the video first started and if I hadn't seen the thumbnail I would have sworn this was a video about the Ford Bronco 😂😂 the front looks exactly like it
Biggest complaint for me is that grill. Wish it was something like the sequoia
Traded in my 5th gen 4runner for another 5th gen. Feeling how light the trunk on that NEW LAND CRUISER and the drive quality was enough for me to look away. It wont age well for sure and ill be back saying it in 10 years 😂
Toyota lost their minds with this pricing . Super basic for $60k what a joke .
It's a perfect car 👊
She’s expensive, but looks so good
1:41 Vivid!!!!😁😁😁 way better than the Big O last gen Land Cruiser with the V8 so they went back to its roots and has the Iforce max powertrain and better on gas
Not atleast having soft touch material on the doors is wild.
Toyota is tripping with these prices
52k for a Jeep Rubicon. Seems right in-line, thanks to inflation. New car prices have been spiking across the board.
Maybe, but if they achieve their sales target, then I guess they aren't tripping.
I'm still not completely clear what happens if you don't use premium? Does the engine just detune or would it damage the engine?
The computer adjusts ignition timing to reduce the probability of detonation. Power will be reduced.
30k Mazda vehicle has a better interior at half the price.
Then go buy a Mazda. Bahaha 😂
If you look at how they are built, you are comparing steaks and oranges.
@@CMartel002 Toyota fan here says this land cruiser isn’t made all that great either. you should try feeling the trunk of the Land Cruiser sometime. It is very low quality now. I would buy the 4runner before this thing
But Mazdas have ugly body styles. Too round and modern with not a touch of ruggedness. No thanks. Plus they don’t hold their value nearly as much.
@@dbreezy549 exactly. I'll take a Toyota any day
This has close to 200 lbf of torque and 56 hp more than a 4Runner yet it is slower to 60 mph. This extremely disappointing. Performance should be closed to the GX550 given the specs. Doesn't make sense. Is Toyota limiting the power of the line to protect the drivetrain?
Cloth seats in an almost 60k car is criminal.
Agreed. This is highway robbery. And cloth seats in an adventure/rugged "off-roading" vehicle is just a bad idea to begin with.
It resembles the Land Rover Defender design.
Should’ve just called it an FJ Cruiser and made it more off road capable.
It feels like they added the LC name just to charge more.
It’s the LC prado, not the LC300😂 most Americans have no clue whatsoever
@@jtomtl Toyota can call it whatever they want, it’s on the same platform as the Tacoma/4Runner with the same exact drivetrain.
I have no clue why they’re charging so much for this.
@@Fadic4 the LC name is 10k, it’s basically a cash grab, aiming at those who are rich and dumb
@@jtomtl 100% agree with you.
I thought Toyota tuned the engine to not run on premium? It’s the same on the Tacoma, manual states regular fuel
I really want to like this car, but for $57k it’s a lot manual accessories (seats & lift gate) that are impossible for me to accept.
So expensive. I do like that Toyota is using a none Lithium battery for their models, because they know Lithium ones are failures. At some point Toyota will be going with Ammonia fuel source in a hybrid form. My wife and I looked at the GX and liked it, but wasn’t available without a wait. It was also way over priced, but I would go with the Lexus before this.
I really want one of these, but I'm going to wait until Toyota finds all the bugs in this new powertrain.
Give it two years before you buy. Everyone who raced to buy the new Tundra got burned badly with defective engines. 👈
Don’t forget other quality problems Toyotas having. One of the models I own has a major quality problem that’s known to Toyota but they won’t recall or fix it. Mine hasn’t had the problem yet but I’m seeing plenty of owners in the fb camry groups report it
@@naveenthemachinewhat wrong with the Camry
@@andersonrodriguez8258 the pano roof is the problem
Many owners have reported the sunroof no longer closing either to misalignment or the sunroof motor going out
And to fix either of these you have to tear apart the whole car, and replace the entire sunroof assembly and you don’t want to know the cost of that because it’ll eat you alive. Even the carcarenut guy has said the camry pano roof issues are known
@@andersonrodriguez8258 oh also another channel joshscarsofjapan owns the same camry as I do: XSE v6 and he said his v6 was knocking and the cause was the timing chain tensioner
@@naveenthemachineI've owned many Toyotas. I love them. I will always buy Toyota or Lexus. If you want a Kia or Mazda then go and buy one. Not for me
25 Ford maverick has awd hybrid and still doubles this things gas mileage. and costs 30k less.
yeah , like you said it, it's a Ford aka garbage.
after you said, "premium gas required" I realized I am poor and why am I watching this
This should not be compared to the 5.7L V8 Land Cruiser 200…
2024 Toyota Land Cruiser Hybrid 1958 4X4!
$42k sounds more accurate for what I would be getting. 60k n I don't even get a V6, a power lift gate and it's capped at 105mph, no thanks. But I do like the look, boxy look and you get alot, but if om gonna pay that much, I might as well get the Lexus and spend $5k more.
how can this start at 55k?
I'll keep my 2004 Sequoia V8 4WD. Has 188,000 miles. Paid $4,000. Be rolling down the road long after this one has died.
