Great videos, I never knoew anything about the game and am here in US for 1 year and missing to go out with my office due to lack of knowledge of game.... thanks to you...feel confident to actually go and watch a game
I don't call this football, because i'm new to the country. But I still admire the sport (specially on the college level) and all your teachings on how the plays are done helped me a lot! Thanks a lot brother!
Very informative! Thanks! Now I can stop pretending I know what's going on so often. Not that I think I know why they are doing what they're doing, but at least I can learn what the positions are. Thanks again for the great video.
Im thinking of joining football at my school, im half computer nerd and half sporty/ running person, Im just nervous that ill be bad, but hey its the chance i take, thanks for the help!
The code is: You need to explain the running holes. left side 7, 5, 3, 1, Right side 2 , 4, 6, 8. TE needs to be on the line. FYI. So if the play is 21 Dive then 2 back gets the ball and goes up the One hole.
So the full back and the half back become running backs when the play is a pass play. Is that right? Thanks for doing this. I love football and watch regularly but never had the knowledge of positions except the quarterback. And of course there is an offense and Defense. Some players that play offense sometimes will also play a defensive position as well. I saw that in a game tonight. The Running back was playing in one play on defense. Thanks again for doing this. All the best to you, Sean
I watch and enjoy football all the time but I never learned the positions beyond the obvious. I really appreciate your time in making these video's. Thanks Sean
Hi, thanks for all the videos! It's all coming together now... I think... I have one question though. Once the snap is made, how many times can the ball be passed? I know the QB can pass the ball to the other guys (WR, etc.) but is he the only one who can pass? Can the FB or HB pass as well? For example, if the QB hands off the ball to the HB, can the HB (in possession of the ball) toss the ball to other players or even pass it downfield to a WR? If so, how many times? So sorry for the long post. Really great videos! Thanks so much!
You can throw once forward in every play. Basically anyone could throw it. Players can lateral or throw it backwards infinite numbers onf times. To answer the question, running backs and wide receivers can throw the ball forward if there hasn't been forward pass before on that play, but the throw must be thrown behind the line of scrimmage. Lateral can happen anywhere.
That's an interception, the defensive player who caught the ball will run with it until he's tackled by one of the offence's players, then the teams will switch so the Team that was on defence will now get their offence out and vice-versa, they'll start with a 1st and 10 from wherever their player was tackled.
tight ends block on some plays and receive passes on others. basically hybrid of lineman and receiver. usually bigger stronger guys but not as large as lineman and not as quick as receivers
Videos are great, I'm going to play high school football as a freshman and have not played or watched much so thanks for getting me up to speed!

+Sean Mooney The full and half backs are running backs, no matter what the play is. You can pass a ball to a running back if you want to!

you're trolling right
Glad I could help out, let me know if you see anything that confuses you during a game!
Thank you!
Mainly about pass Interference... I think it's actually very difficult to detect if it is interference or not.
Hi, thanks for all the videos! It's all coming together now... I think...
I have one question though.
Once the snap is made, how many times can the ball be passed?
I know the QB can pass the ball to the other guys (WR, etc.) but is he the only one who can pass?
Can the FB or HB pass as well?

you can do a lateral
+Jesus's Son I see. So anyone can lateral...like in rugby... Thanks!
What about forward throwing? Only the QB?

That's what differentiates the game from rugby in terms of passing, I suppose.
Sounds like it makes for more interesting plays.
Thanks!
@@lordwalrus8615 thanks for this!
i play as as free safty when do I get on tight ened when do I follow me or do I know when too.?
this is so helpful
thank you so much
Man, you're awesome :)
Is the quarterback allowed to run up and make a touchdown?
Yes he his. He can run on any play he wants, but as soon as he crosses the line of scrimmage, he cannot throw the ball forward.
Ahhh! Thank you!
thanks a lot man. this is great! really easy, and to the point!

What happens if the defense catches the ball instead of the receiver?
That's an interception, the defensive player who caught the ball will run with it until he's tackled by one of the offence's players, then the teams will switch so the Team that was on defence will now get their offence out and vice-versa, they'll start with a 1st and 10 from wherever their player was tackled.
