It’s exciting to see that the game rewards defensive actions like tackles & interceptions; but I feel there’s still rooms for improvement in the collision system, especially when players are on 1-v-1 situation (but, this feedback might be blindsided cause we don’t get to see the players’ stats whatsoever - like which players have more strength and which is more agile). After all, it looks promising, though.
The shot speed should be reduced a bit(especially headers) and more animations should be added so it can feel more realistic and smooth...but overall it's pretty impressive for a new team of game developers👍🏾

This is a game I would like to get behind and produce content for again. Really rooting for your success!
I think the best choice that UFL can do right now is publish the game as an alpha build in order to get real time feedback by it's players, this will be a very good move, marketing wise and also very good move fanbase wise. I wish you all the best, cant wait to play it!
That would kill the game. It looks like 1/10th of the game even FIFA is and would just alienate people from wanting to play it and kill hype.

Even if the game is free down the line (which would of course get some traction) people won't play if it has a bad rep. efootball was free but its trash. No one plays that.

This game is on the right track. A significant improvement in players movement, passing, and defensive shape. Tweak some shooting animations.
Loving the progress so far! A couple things I noticed
- Not sure if you're going for a more realistic or an arcade approach but would love to see the game speed knocked down a bit. This is a personal preference. i think a slower game speed allows for more opportunities to create different types of plays.
- Like others have said the player animations can look janky at times but I'm not concerned considering it's alpha
- Would love to see more AI movement when off the ball. Especially in loose ball or defensive situations. Saw a couple of times a player could've gotten to a loose ball but didn't react or just watch it roll by as an opposing player closed in on it, or when the ball is in the box and some of the defensive players watch the player dribble instead of trying to get in front to protect the goal
- Goalie animation on goal kicks looked a bit weird but that might've been just me

For an Alpha build, you guys should be incredibly proud of your work so far - if i were to be picky, some of the ball striking motions (ground pass and first time shot) look a little unnatural, and some of the player motions themselves look a little slow - but that's me just being really picky. Overall, big well done and look forward to getting my hand on it!

Really appreciate the small bug compilation at the end, leaves me calm that you're aware there are things to fix that even most of us might've not noticed. Also love the UI Design and the graphics, props to both those teams as well as everyone else. Keep it up, I can see a lot of potential in what you're making! ❤

For a very first time, this is pretty solid for an alpha version. For me, we have to trust the studio and follow it through the years. The game still needs a bit of fluidity and realism, but hey, it’s their first game. If everybody stays loyal to the game, it will dethrone FIFA. I have faith in you guys.
Would there be something like a creation center ? That’s one of the features I completely miss from the competition. I would want to be able to create teams from scratch, and to be able to personalize their stadium, kits, ball, chants all of it.
Gameplay is very decent, better than I expected. Though animations flow out very fast a bit arcadey and ball physics need massive improvement. Good luck you guys!

Procurando contribuir com algo que talvez ainda não tenha sido comentado, a velocidade dos jogadores parece sempre a mesma, acredito que precise adicionar arrancadas em determinados lances, assim como redução em outros e também o chute de cabeça está muito desproporcional, mas o jogo é bem promissor, tem vários detalhes bem legais.

I'll highlight the timestamps that felt unnatural (physical contacts or ball physics), and leave the good notes at the end I liked:
0:24 ; 0:42; 0:44; 0:55; 1:05; 1:20; 1:25; 1:44; 2:04; 2:23; 2:34; 2:46; 3:36; 3:45; 4:17; 5:09; 5:45; 5:50; 6:18 - 6:27; 6:37; 6:47; 7:16 (player reactions)
Overall, as you noticed in the end, the main problems are Ball Speed (too fast passes or shots/headers); Player Contacts (tackles, players close to each other while interacting with the ball is strange, players sometimes are transparent); Same reactions of players; most skills and movements are static, laggy, players freeze in the change of attacks and defence.
Take significant care of your goals keepers! As in the actual game, a good keeper is the base of every team. Almost all of the keepers' movement felt unnatural, it needs a lot of work.
Positive: Some skills and most of the cutscenes are decent and smooth! It's incredible the game has a variety of moves, the passes are creative, and the goals looked decent in general.
I'd add and prolong cutscenes, like crowd reactions, and more variety/logic to the commentators.
I'm excited and delighted about your future and progress. I root for you guys.

@@duran9664 think about it, pes has released the same games for 10 years, this is UFL's first and it already looks great for an ALPHA, if you gave this game 2 years it will be undoubtedly the best football game. The game still has got like 5 months till release, so give them time and they will make something extraordinary with the support of us, criticising, telling them that this looks like a ps2 level game doesnt help them at all.

I love what I’m seeing. The pace of the game is incredible, the passing is good, graphics wise it looks good. I’d like to see more possession based tackles and proper player animations.

It's nice to know the current progress of this game. Being at Alpha means a lot of thing needs polishing which is why i won't judge to harshly. The only notable issues I've seen so far is heading is op and off balance passing is too accurate. The goalkeeper is actually great since they don't always know where you're going to shoot and shooting accuracy is not always precise which felt real too. Keep up the good work 👍
Looking good so far! Defintely animinations needs to be polished like sometimes when they miss or score a goal they just stand like an NPC, but during the cut scene they are all moving around, also dribbling needs some little touches and also passes need to be slowed.

you already have me on the player models. the graphics? seamless. however i would love a better audio cause that sets the real environment for me. im talking stadium noises, chants and all...authentic and unique commentary as well. so i think that is a thing to improve about this game. i love how you want the community to give you newer directions. love yall and all the best.

I can give you some recommendations. The headshots are unrealistic because it looks very powerful and also the passes animation is weird but the game looks great for being an alpha it's amazing job :)

Like others have stated, it looks a bit too much on the arcade side.
- Ball speed is too high.
- tackling and interceptions need a boost.
- The defenders need to be more aware of spaces left open and attacking runs.
- Polishing of animations.
- Personally i would rather only have 5 balanced skill moves, than 50 where 2 ends up being a overpowered meta.
Also left stick dribbling
It doesn’t make sense to have only 5 skill moves when if you are good in real life you can do way more than 5. As a matter of fact if you are good in real life you can do all fifa skills. After all, they are inspired by real life signature footballer skills and some from futsal
UFL needs to be trying their best to have the same amount of skill moves. For a lot of people, the skilling community, it’s what makes FIFA bearable bro🤜
I hope you guys will make them a bit more fluid. I know making it more realistic can slow down the movement, turning or sometimes even controlling the ball. But slow movement is literally one of the things that ruins the fun. So far this looks really nice. Keep up the good work

I like how the game rewards defending, a good balance between risk and reward. The passes and crosses are also on the right track. The moment of the players still needs work, they look a bit arcade and robotic.

i don't know if this can be related at something else, but i think that some animations (like passes) looks too fast compared to the general gameplay. But, for an alpha gameplay this looks fantastic, the transitions for the cutscenes looks amazing, players move with intelligence, fantastic work

I know that it is tough to make a full fledged football game and I definitely salute all the devs out there.. but I personally criticise both Fifa and PES for being a bit arcady or being too cartoony.
now I am trying to provide some problems that I see in this game, hopefully the Devs will try to solve most of them.
1. In real life the back passes are not done like this. That's too cartoony! see 0:26 In real life they generally Turn and then do back passes.
3. 0:28 Such direct passes are generally done but the Wingers aren't given so much space after the pass that has been made here.
4. 0:40 Again , have we seen any of such skill moves in that sort of position? And These skill moves make it look too Arcady (just like the Fifa). In real life skill moves are used Rarely!
5. 0:43 Straight passes to the Midfielder! Okay but The defenders should easily close him down and he won't be able to pass for most cases in real life! At least in top level football The defenders don't give players that much space!
6. 0:51 The turns like this and pass is hardly prevalent in real life football I hope.
7. 1:23 How does a player with the ball run so fast w.r.t. the RB without the ball? It has been prevalent in so many cases in this gameplay footage.
8. 1:45 Have you seen your team mates not react to such play ? I hope that there should be a Fix to this.. ! You may do misspasses but you can not do anything like that in real life as a GK!
9. 2:05 Just Pause the footage here and watch the Leg's movement there. The players in real life don't move the legs like that.. I know it is tough to animate but this is to be done in future.
10. 2:28 The dribbling is odd here.. (have seen the same thing more than once in this footage). It is better to stop having skill moves and focus on the tactical part.. See another of such instances. 3:30
11. 3:36 The header is just too freaking powerful! From that distance probably even Cr7 won't be able to generate that much power in heading the ball! Make it a lob instead of a shot!
* The Tactical approach of AI should also be improved a lot! The Defensive AI does not close the Gap in the field while defending!
* Moreover The Build up play in real life is Way slower than These video games! See some examples: ruclips.net/video/-FGcEWIVS28/видео.html

It is always better to focus on Custom Tactical Changes during the game (i.e. suppose you are playing a build up from defensive suddenly you see and opportunity and press A button to change the build up tactics to counter attacks! ) instead of just Skills. that will make it look realistic.

Extra tips: in future add more lines to the commentator! Martin Tayler can be hired as well!
Games have to be fun first before realistic. They never claimed this is to be a football sim. A better balance of arcade and realism, with fluid gameplay would be a great start.
The suggestions you make would result in the game being dead on arrival, nobody wants to play a football game where Messi and Neymar take 10 years to turn after receiving the ball.

I haven't been following the UFL project, how many leagues there will be and if there will be many licenses, but for a brand new game in the segment, the gameplay seems nice to me. Some movements are still not very natural, but the player's movements seem to me at the right point. I hope they have many leagues and if there are not many licenses, that it is thought for modders to create improvements.

Key take: Goal keeper Ai needs more work on how to cover spaces and dive. Ref needs to follow the players. Defence system and positional play Ai to help opposition follow the ball and not run anyhow. Collision physics too. I saw one player run in another one without collision. If you can fix those, this game will have a better gameplay than anything we have on the market.
True, the defending player's AI movements can't analyze and respond to the situation. Their movements aren't wrong, but they don't show intelligence about how they improvise their movements based on the situation, so they don't show how real football players play. For example, when an attacker makes a lofted long pass, the defender only tries to be around the player who will receive the pass but doesn't try to win the aerial duel or overtake the opponent when chasing the ball. Or when a defender who is controlled moves far out of position, another defender who is not controlled just stays in position and doesn't try to cover gaps that the opponent can exploit. They weren't wrong to stay in position in their initial formation, but is that how it will be in real life matches?
i just love how you can get the ball as long as you time them not where dribbles are cheat codes

However, in my opinion, the game still shows strong deficits in defensive behavior and also in standing tackles.
I hope the accuracy and strength of passing and shooting is very much dependent on your own accuracy and isn't mostly automatic?
It would be important to try to set the level of simulation very, very high, so that you are not seen as a copy of arcade games like Fifa or efootball.

Since this is only an alpha version, we shouldn't look at the whole thing too critically.
When one team is with 1 foward against 3 or more defenders, the left/right back come closer to the fullback to help pressing

I HOPE we will get replays of the goals. Can you give any foreview on this? And imho i would let the general camera a little bit longer before cut to the player, as watching the ball bouncing in the net is so satisfying. It looks great so far. I'll be there to try when released.

The gameplay looks like super polished winning eleven 4, not bad for a few years development. Keep polishing the game guys, i know it will be alot better for the next few years.
i don't know what licenseed leagues you will have but if you don't have most of the good one will the game have mods like football manager to make modes for unlicensed leagues and players?
Looks good for an alpha! Very promising! Feel like ball speed is a bit fast still, and its easy to skip the midfield play (force longballs or through balls). But really promising gameplay so far, thank you for making this game!

Apart from the bugs and issues the gameplay felt arcadic and fun to play. Love the fast pace of the gameplay and high agility of defenders no one was feeling like they can't turn so that was pretty nice and overall it felt like a good fun gameplay

Arcadic gameplay is the worst thing that could happen. So sick of ping pong pass and FUT community that will ruin that new game.
