That waterway is 100+ miles from the ocean. It leads to a groundwater project. They don't want groundwater contamination. The area uses water wells and septics. Guy was almost at Parker to the Castaic truckstops. Was probably in need of rest and didnt want to stop beforehand because all the construction taking away safety lanes and making a stop super dangerous. He was 5 minutes away from a safe stop. I feel for the dude.
Many Truckers start their shifts at 3am ish. He didn’t fall asleep. Most likely he blew a front tire and was probably going over 65mph. Either way his record is trashed. I'm assuming by your comment, that you think having cars traveling at 15mph faster than larger vehicles is safe.. because I believe everyone should be limited to 55mph in the state of California..would greatly reduce accidents

California has a big problem with rest areas always being closed,always! Up to No,Calif. we are never able to stop and rest/bathroom/eat because always under construction yet nobody working.
Caltrans: how can we inconvenience people, let's shut down interstate 5 for no reason and blame the truck driver!
