How To Replace A SRAM Eagle Chain | Canyon Torque CF 8.0

A bike maintenance video! After my chain snapped on one of my recent rides it was time to replace it. However I thought why not show you all how I do it for those who don’t know. This is my first ‘How To’ video so go easy on me. The first way is a no go! you'll have stretch in a old chain which would result in the new chain being to long

Yeah I only use it as a guide. Go a tiny bit shorter

The lens is designed to be further away really so it struggles on close ups. Need a smaller one

So did it end up a link shorted than your old chain or same size ?

It was near enough the same, maybe a tiny bit shorter. Think it’s just the l design of the rear end, that the chain does move a bit more. Got some guides now that stop the noise!

you need to compress the suspension when you are measuring the chain
