- This is the game Street Rod from 1990(ish).
The game is played on FSUAE emulator, and i downloaded the game from here : gamesnostalgia...
The game is played with a keyboard and mouse. I use the keyboard for driving and the mouse for everything else.
No voiceover - and only music from the game.

Oh man, good times :D I got this in the 90s for my Amiga too and it was an amazing experience.
Street Rod is how I first learned about the Amiga. I was a little late to the Street Rod party, I didn't play until around 2000-2001 and I was playing the DOS version. Then one day while looking the game up online I saw there was a version for Amiga and the graphics were amazing compared to the DOS version! Not only are the visuals improved but the audio is 1000x times better since the DOS version only supports the PC speaker. There is also a Commodore 64 version for some reason lol. Imagine going from the C64 version to the Amiga version back in the day. It would have been mind blowing!

@@temporalmadness3756 Oh wow Street Rod 3, I remember the site you are talking about. It was probably around the same time (2000-2001) when I found it. It was in very early development and I remember bookmarking the page and thinking that I'd check back every once in awhile to see how it was coming along. It is now 2024 and I don't think it has really been worked on since about 2005. Nearly 20 years! I'd still be interested in Street Rod 3. Street Rod was great but was pretty easy. Street Rod 2 was interesting but was way wayyy too hard imo.

Well to be fair they made a decision to do that to reduce the amount that has to be rendered, aka only what’s in front of the car. You could have rear view mirror but lower graphically fidelity overall. Sad I know.

Oh, not seen this one before. Love the more creative older games (although of course the indie scene does a good job of that these days).

Back when people cared more about the games than how long they were vs what they costed.
Love the graphics, but the music gets old really quickly.

I never played the DOS version. So which has the better look and sounds ?
@@Smirge Amiga version has much better sound obviously, DOS graphics are more high contrast with fewer different colours... for example all the soft tops on cars and most of the tires (except the racing slicks) are pure white. the designs for both the drive-in and the gas station are very different in both versions

@@Smirge The DOS versions are from a previous generation of computer science technology(80's to 90's) so it makes sense that it has lower quality graphics and sounds, because their computers could only handle so much.

How could would it be if we got through emulation the FPS locked to 50fps?
I've played both versions, Amiga and Dos. But for me Amiga version is better.
PC versions had a better color palette, but had lower resolution. In fact PC barely even had gamepads or joysticks back then.

I heard the 2nd game is much harder…is that true?
It's very much different in the feel of the game. Personally i don't like it. Not because it's easier or harder - but the 'atmosphere' of the game is gone for me.
I remember giving up on Street Rod 2 because the car would crash for no obvious reason (if memory serves correct)?
How od you challenge the king?
He shows up once in a while - and if you have won enough drag races and pink slip races - he will accept the challenge.
@@Smirge In Bob LP he never showed up. Look at Bob lenon's channel.
@@darthrevan3342 Don't know what to tell you. He has always shown up at least a couple of times before i had won enough races to challenge him.
@@Smirge Well when bob played he was neevr inetrcepetd by cops but here cops showed up 10 times !
