希望婆婆有機會返佢嘅祖籍東莞玩下🫶🏻
依家越南華人嘅下一代在越南生活已經愈來愈好，也慢慢被同化，有好多華人嘅後代已經唔識講廣東話，有點可惜😢
我祖先戰亂時從東莞流亡到廣東湛江一帶。依家我定居翻東莞。感覺在文化上還是能找到共鳴找到歸屬感的。
唐人后代被安南京族同化，你竟然说会越来越好。1975年之前西贡以及全南方有中文学校近百所, 从小学初中高中到大学，所有唐人子女都是上中文学校学国语。记住！不是越南人，是京族人（nguoi dan toc Kinh）。
京族和越南人有甚麼分別？
@@kwokholuk8723京族是从北方安南来霸占中部的占婆王国/寮国的赫蒙/西部高原的帝咖国/南部唐人开发的柬埔寨土地的一个民族，京族佔领这些地方之后，就改称越南，说越南是京族的国家，京族是越南人，京族话是越南话, 其他有土地被京族佔领的民族不接受越南这名称也不承认京族是主人。

我媽媽的一個好朋友就是影片中所說較幸運的越南華人，他的媽媽是越南華人，外公則是當時中華民國駐南越的外交官，但那時公務員的收入並不高，甚至還會種菸草賣給當地的法國人補貼生活。
當越戰爆發越共準備進到南越時，外公因為中華民國外交官的身分，一家人的生命很可能會受到威脅，必須馬上離開越南搬到台灣。但當時的中華民國國籍法還是屬父主義，母親就算是中華民國國民也不能憑血統賦予子女國籍，因為時間緊迫他的外公只能以職務之便把我媽朋友當作女兒，辦一個官方合法的身分讓所有家人來台灣，而他們到台灣的隔天西貢就淪陷了
最重要是有个家，看到这句话都哭了，祝婆婆晚年幸福，华人真的是吃苦耐劳啊

托哥你好，我是台灣人，我的家人也是1993年由中華民國政府所收治的越南華僑難民，我們家也都是說廣東話、越南話。我還有多位舅舅阿姨當初在越南沒有辦法離開，也有多位舅舅阿姨在1980年左右偷渡至馬來西亞、印尼等難民營後來被美國與澳洲收治，讓我現在有很多機會到世界各地去拜訪當初離開越南的家人，我的頻道有拍一些相關的影片，謝謝你讓大家多認識關於越南難民的故事，觀看你的影片很多年，會繼續支持你！

I escaped from Saigon Vietnam in 1981. My little boat had 90% of Chinese Vietnamese people. Nicest group of Cantonese / Teochew people who took care of me. ❤
So which country or area did u escape to, HK?

Love your video. My whole family is from Cholon and I was born there too. Now we are living in the US, thank to my grandma who risked her life on one those boats. She made it out, settled in California, worked super hard to send money back to Vietnam to support us. Back then, everybody struggled but the Chinese population was still better off than the rest.
What do you mean by the rest? You mean the Kinh Annamese, do you? If yes, please describe here how better a life the Chinese in Annam live than the Kinh Annamese.

Damn, i felt this. I was in Vietnam a few months ago and asked my family in d5 about our family history. None of my family in the west talked anything about the escape from China to vn or vn to Europe. Growing up i didnt feel like they wanted to talk about it and if i asked they just ignored my questions. Especially my grandparents, my mom was born in vn and my dad escaped khamer to vn and vn to Norway.

This video is really interesting to watch, even for Vietnamese audience. I am from Hanoi, so I grew up not knowing much about the fellow citizens in the Southern of Vietnam. Only after some chances traveling to HCM city did I started gathering some pieces of knowledge about the Chinese community here.
Here, I am the one of Vietnam's born Chinese. I left Viet Nam during the border war under uncle Le Duan's policy so that I be came a Boat People, then a Refugee. I was graduated in Ha Noi Polytechnical university in 1972 as an electrical engineer. I worked seven years for Viet Nam government in Hanoi until they asked me to leave. Thanks Canada government accepted me for permanent stay. Now 44 years passed, I still want to say thanks to my university teachers and professors who gave me a lots of basic technology knowledges that can help me keep studied in Canada and earned a diploma as an electronic design engineer. Viet Nam is my mother land, I will love and respect you all time in my life even I got abandoned in 1979.

越南廣東人去到土生第四代都仲識得講流利廣東話，反而喺英語國家去到第二代仲肯講已經好好。
係，好似馬來西亞華人都係一樣，N代後都仲可以流利廣東話，真係好勁（不過嚟緊下一代未必可以），歐美國家第二代好多已經識聽唔識講。

@@leonardccto 港產片/TVB劇集無以前嘅吸引力都係一個大原因。以前唔同祖籍嘅華人傾向住埋一齊，好似怡保咁，無論屋企，同學，同事朋友之間都係主要講廣東話，所以方言比較容易保存。不過新一代長大後會去唔同地方工作，結婚，落地生根，我見好多馬來西亞廣東人都唔會再同自己下一代講廣東話，因為種種原因，只會同小朋友講華語，失去語言環境就好難一代又一代咁傳落去。

I’m Chinese born in Vietnam, escaped to HK in late 70’s early 80’s, now in the U.S. my great grandfather went to Vietnam and did great in business. Chinese in those days controlled most of the businesses in Vietnam.

Do not forget that south Vietnam was Khmer Krom of Cambodia before century 19, century 16 Chinese came settling here and developing this region until century 19 Kinh Annamese grabbed it from Chinese then it was colonized by France, it was called Annam until China defeated France liberating Annam 1954, after 1954 Kinh Annamese changed Annam to Vietnam but the people of Laotian Hmong, the kingdom of Champa, Dega country, Cambodian Khmer and Chinese never accept the name of Vietnam, still call it Annam.

末必係嘅！現在我不知道，若果在40年前，我們在越南的時候都是住在唐人區，越南淪陷之前上的都是台灣學校，很多華僑都受台灣教育。越南人住在附近華人區的話他們都願意學廣東話，所以反而我們在越南的時候不懂說越語，係到第三國家才學到，因為接觸多咗越南人😅
越南三大族群是华人，壮侗人（古百越部落），高棉人和京族（汉化高棉人）

Fellow Cantonese moved to UK at young age here. Had no idea Cantonese/Chinese is that common in Vietnam. Never been there (yet). Definitely would want to visit. But also want to see the Vietnam culture.
I'm also interested what the local Vietnamese view on China politically, as well as their view on the west. Nothing for or against, just want to know their views.

As a young Vietnamese from the south, my observation is that Vietnamese people tends to have a negative view towards China, thanks in part to their territorial claims in the ocean. However, there's hardly any discrimination against the Chinese Vietnamese, due to the high degree of cultural assimilation.
Our view of the west is generally positive, especially towards America, as we regard it as a symbol of freedom and wealth.

So Vietnam & China have close relationships but still have alots problems, not easy to solves.
But I believe CHINA IS NOT STUPID, they know VIETNAM GEOGRAPHY IS TOO IMPORTANT TO THEM.
If CHINA not attack Vietnam, we will be friendly & peaceful with them to keep this PEACEFUL SITUATION. It help both side Viet & China
I think sea border issues between Viet & China is still happen & small fight between 2 country about sea border & island will happen each years.
BUT AS LONG AS CHINA NOT STUPID TO PUSHING VIETNAM AWAY TO US & WESTERN ARMS.
We Vietnam will not chose any side, CHINA OR US.
China know Vietnam stay right next to their back & have long seas border, almost half of Southern side.
If they keep respect Vietnam & don’t Star Wars. Vietnam will not become US allies.
If China keep arrogant to Vietnam lands & sea borders, they’re only pushing Vietnam to US & WESTERN SIDE
US & WESTERN IS EARNING TO HAVE VIETNAM SINCE IT WILL BLOCK CHINA IN LANDS & THEY WILL CANT GO TO INTERNATIONAL SEAS. Because user have Japan, Middle have Korea, lower have Taiwan - US ALLIES!! And point weapon to CHINA!!
So only in bottom SOUTHERN PART - VIETNAM is NEUTRAL & HAVE FRIENDLY RELATIONSHIPS WITH CHINA.
I think Chinese ordinary ppl just like Vietnamese or anyone else, no one want wars. Everyone want peaceful & enjoy their life with family, friends, enjoy vacations & travels spend good times with their family & kids. Running bussiness, working, earn moneys, build company.
So Vietnamese don’t have problems with Chinese.
But fews inner Chinese in China act stupid, they’re always think Vietnam belong to China (just because in ancient history China was invasion & colonial Vietnam fews hundred years) so they still have mindset VIETNAM BELONG TO CHINA.
And it keep make Vietnamese ppl angry mad & blood boiling.
Base on this logic, Japan was invasion China & colonial China, does that mean China belong to Japan??
Vietnamese ppl is friendly & peaceful, you come here respectful us, we treat you well.
VIETNAMESE TODAY is safety & keep growing. It’s famous tourist place
