Does the meth offer much in the way of power or is it mainly for keeping the temps down after the intercooler?
I'm interested in meth. Do you have any details on how much the IAT temps dropped compared with no meth?

Safe boys ive been looking back at some of your past videos and enjoy um all basically. Well done for keeping your cool and going forward id start to charge a hourly rate the same as main dealer rates if customer has deliberately chose not to revert software or to bother telling you the situation b4 work starts. Not like your wanting this extra unexpected pissing about where you could of destroyed the ecu if you relied on client's word only🤷♂️
more un allocated time spent means less allocated dyno time.. we advise everyone to get things in order prior to booking. Stock ECU software is key🫡
No need for meth on these, just a 550d pump, injectors and turbo systems stage 2 and you’ll see 1000nm torque almost.
Its not about needs and yes we have tuned with hybrids and pump. This was a route the client wanted to take.

Meth-water also cleans out carbon build up. That's a unique advantage of this setup.
@@jimb12312 not really unique is it tho, catch can prevents it also, egr delete prevents it also and both are much cheaper. Pretty sure methanol doesn’t clean heavy carbon deposits that diesels have also.
I do understand your frustration about earlier remaps. But take my car for instance. My tuner can see that it has an update made for ECU but can’t see if it’s a tune or just a bmw update at some point. It’s hard to know when you haven’t had the car since new 🤷🏽♂️

You tuned my 435d with meth and managed 424.6 bhp and 935nm being a convertble its heavy but still managed 0-60 3.97 seconds.
Absolute beast😬
Thats not that good, unicorn manage to get 400bhp+ with just a tune and intercooler no meth needed

Suprised ya don't have some sort of direct ventilation setup for the exhaust

why does it smoke i know its diesek but still too much
When meth burns in a diesel it can cause a false afr.. hence its quite important to target afr prior to meth addition so that rail pressure can stabilise with and without.
@@NVMotorsportUK it's not false AFR at all. It's actual AFR since meth adds fuel (methanol) it makes the AFR richer. Also raises EGT. I only ever use it if I am running out of fuel. Target a leaner AFR then add meth so it doesn't smoke.

In the guys defense, he may have received the car with a tune without realizing. Maybe unlikely, but possible.
