I have to admit, I was humming the stage 1 music for like 2 weeks after playing through. It is an absolute ear worm. Aggie, thank you for watching!

First, great job on the review. Now, here's an update from me, the old man who was there when the game actually released. The actual street date of Batman on NES in the US was February 1990. That's when it appeared on shelves for the first time, I worked in a toy store and I vividly recall the day the shipment of Batman NES games arrived for the first time. I was waiting months for that game to show up.

Thank you for the insight. This game seems to have been much more anticipated than I could find Information on. I was never really big on comics, but this game and movie did start my love for Batman. Thank you for watching!

I played this game a lot when it came out. I remember me and my brothers taking turns to play it.

The instruction manual had names for all the bosses. Level 1: Killer Moth. Level 2: Machine Intelligence System. Level 3: The Electrocutioner. Level 4: Dual-Container Alarm. Level 5: Firebug, Joker.
Edit: fun fact, the instruction manual also has some pretty funny comments about the boss attacks. The electrocutioner for example creates electric beams that are "10 mega-giga volts", and Firebug's fireballs are 600 MILLION degrees celsius, so basically 33x hotter than the sun's core. I imagine that the entire cathedral (atmosphere included) would be vaporized under those conditions.

This game is just solid. It has some hard parts to it so it keeps challenging you. Great music and graphics. Too bad they didn’t stick with this format for return of the joker.

I have played the genesis Batman, and though it looks great, they missed just a little bit on gameplay. The NES got the good one, for sure. Thank you for sharing and watching!

This game holds a special place in my heart for sure. I traded games with friends and this is one I gave up Contra for. I was not disappointed.

IT'S VERY SOLID. BUT NOT AS GOOD LOOKING AS BATMAN RETURN OF THE JOKER as you said. Yes the music rocks just like the original TMNT original video game music and game play.

I absolutely adore the look of Return of the Joker. I just lacking a lot in the gameplay department. You know, I never thought of that, TMNT does have some banger tracks. Especially level 5 where they got a killer rendition of Come Together by the Beatles.
