    I cried at the Kapha description,then became anxious and dry as the emotion hit and stopped feeling.I needed to drink to calm down the dryness and body. I have all 3 imbalances,all are high to extreme,with Vata being highest. I am a tridoshic type who has eaten her emotions a lot,been unaware of her anxiety,repressed emotions and accumulated heaviness of burdens,anger at my myaelf and my mother for not loving me(so i pleased her :( )... I had irregular sleep,became impatient,trying too much to keep it in and working hard to heal,compulsively sought knowledge too.
    Kapha feels like my center,i dislike being rushed the most,which is what i grew up putting up with. Resting so much makes me feel like i am not present for others,or i will misst out on things i perceive as important to do.Being in my heart has been difficult,and it is what i need most,what i want most.I love calm and giving to others a lot,something which i was drawn out of.

    Thank you so much for this video - you explain everything really well. I knew I was a kapha but you really nailed it! My current response to stress is to walk away - however I know it can build up if I’m not careful. Namaste. 🙏🏻💕

    You are so incredible, Sahara Rose. Thank you for being such a beautiful channel and being able to articulate it in a modern yet also digestible way. I float through each one, I’m the one who gets pissed driving and am impatient, but also prone to a lot anxiety. Looking back, I can distinctly remember how many times I’ve been stuck in the past and how much I give myself away, mothering everyone around me, feeling depleted, drained and lethargic. I can’t remember a time when I wasn’t feeling either unbalanced or super heavy in my body. I had always thought I was a Pitta based on those body type tests in the teen magazines from my youth since I’m not super thin nor do I carry extra weight, I’m sort of in the middle. That’s the impression I got from the little diagrams in those articles. But nope, I took your test and I am Vata body and Kapha mind. I’ve tried Banyan botanicals test several times as well, and it never really resonated. When you said, “not taking the time you need to take care of yourself tells you you don’t love yourself”... I felt a wave of emotion and tears filled my eyes. Thank you beautiful woman, thank you 🙏🏻Namaste sister

    I am Kapha type- with imbalances, for sure. I am working on them. Thank you for the light and wisdom you share. When you speak of holding on to the past, and letting it go, it seems as though you are looking at me directly, and speaking to me. A few times hearing you tell me to let go, and love myself, it has made my cry- because my past holds so much stress, unhappiness and tension, the tears prove that what you are saying is true. Thank you for sharing that truth with me. I need to hear it. You explain Kapha tendencies and ways to help in such an understandable way. Thank you, sister. I am sending love back to you.

    im all All of the above... i noticed that i have had inbalance and different kinds of tress in my life. every time i get burned out ( 4 times so far) its in a new way... but what i see now becouse you explain it so well is that im all of them but in different ways... mind body and soul. My mind is vata, left alone and still i go crazy, i need movement to balance. my body is kapha - storing history, pain, stagnation, want to be there for others but if not Centered my mind and soul push me away. i need movement, dance, connection with others, feeling the breath with another in a hug, let knots loosen so i can let go of past. My Soul is Pitta, roaring lioness, warm and inviting but like tempo, results, meaning, if your in the way my eyes will tell you to piss of but im smiling and have a body languange of ill fix it myself. Balancing all of them in different ways, i see that i make them all better, i need variation but most importantly i need stability, routine, let go, let in, creativity. You are amazing Sahara, thank you!

    Just bought the Ayurveda (Idiots Guide)...i took your quiz yesterday and I’m 71% Kapha mind and 50% Kapha body...got quite a bit of Vata takin up the rest of the body from the dry skin and hair mostly...can’t wait to read the book because your videos are very enlightening and eye openers...thanks for all that you do to keep us in the know...been binge watching your videos and i appreciate all the knowledge

    I took you quiz and to my surprise my mind is Vata 57%, my body is pitta 75%, and Kapha 25%. I have all of the issues you just described going on all the time. I bounce between them. Worry about the future and thugs that have not happened. I am chronically ill with chronic pain so I can’t do much any more and that crushed my identity, and I spend time beating myself up or thinking of the past. So I am guessing this mean all of my dosha out messed up as we have all 3 in us, just some are more others are less. My body build screams Kapha but your quiz said pitta the Kapha.

    Thank you for video, so simple words about doshas! I am vata/kappa, is this means that mind constitution is Vata, and body is Kappa? Or both mind and body? How are they working together? Cause they opposite..

    I'm born pitta for sure, passed though kapha when i had depression, but i also feels sometimes the ethereal thought proccess of vata and the need to communicate. I feel the worst thing you can be in this existence is negative, in the end it's going to wear you entirely and kill your inner self, really ugly, and this coming from a die hard nihilism believer. Get rid of formulated religious ideals that are meant to lock yourself, your self-esteem and pride, they create dogmas that are very dumb if you stop to think. The energy of god itself is really good, it's hard to believe for more skeptycal types but once you put your imagination to work and let it take over you, it comes through.

    I think being Vata has made me feel averse to meditation. I'd probably struggle with that for a while. My dominance in it is the only thing i'm sure of. I tested with a slightly stronger Kapha than Pitta but still wanna clarify it. Thanks for the information.

    Hi I'm kapha and vata. I'm learning this ancient science cause I've been struggling with a lot of illnesses. I've read a lot of books now and I found out that everyone has the symptoms the same but the causes different. Some say I have candida overgrowth which I know I do some say I have ebstein Barr virus. I do have also chronic fatigue and food allergies. What would you recommend for me to heal. In dealing with stress I know when I was young as a teen I would stress about the past. Now on my thirties and twenties I struggled a lot about the future. My main stress has always been. If I made a right decision and how it might affect me later. As now I've been reading the bible a lot and just giving all my worries to God. Allowing and learning to practice love and living on the today. Thank you so much. For your video. I would love to learn about herbs. Hot herbs etc.

    Hi! I am Watching a lot of your videos. They are very good, you are very clear when you speak. I have a question, i like to train using heavy weights in the gym (like a bodybuider sort of thing), what ayurveda says about bodybuilding? Is it cool for me do workout that whay (i am a pitta/kapha person). Tks!

      hi! ayurveda would not recommend doing heavy weights because it stresses out the body-- additionally it would cause pittas to burn out and kaphas to get heavier/ bulkier. the only people who should do some weight training are Vatas because they need to build muscle mass but even that would be best with their own body weight or light weights. as a pitta/ kapha, try doing more cooling exercises like swimming!

      hi! ayurveda doesnt recommend heavy weights because they cause stress on the body, which decreases lifespan, causes adrenal fatigue and creates internal stress. it recommends yoga, swimming and walking instead

    This is so interesting. Thank you. I did your quiz which resulted in body 62.5% vata 37.5% pitta 0% kapha. Mind 71% vata 0% pitta 29% kapha. Does this mean I need to balance my kapha for body and pitta for mind? I'm a little confused, much gratitude Claire. Xx

      I was wondering this too. I'm mostly vata but seem to be a little of each or maybe I have my vata together like she described in this video. I do practice yoga and my spouse is kapha so it might balance me out.

      yes definitely! we are all all 3 doshas but in varying amounts-- we have a doshic combination we were born with and one we have today. for example i was born more kapha, but now am more vata! both come up for me still

      Thanks! Interesting, after I did your quiz I came up as a pitta slightly more than vata for mind and then an even split for body. I can see the pitta side when it comes to my work life and the vatta side when it comes to everything else with a little kapha in there to keep me grounded!
