I know there are different recipes for different techniques and I am sure you have the simple answers for beginners like me on your channel. So thank you from my heart! Love what you do, I am an avid fan. It also helps that we live in the same general area.

    Thank you Thank you!! The best thing that I got out of your tutorial was when you showed that the popsicle stick will stand straight up in the Balloon Kisses pouring medium and then slowly tilt to the side. That was an AWESOME thing to show and really helps me to understand about the consistency. And that in the Dutch Pour pouring medium, the stick will tilt to the side right away. I think that I am going to be able to give this a try now!!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS TUTORIAL.

    What can I use in the USA to come close to your ratios and also paints? I use Alot of different brands of paint and you're right about consistency. Your art is so breathtaking I wanna learn how so bad. Any advice you could share with me?

    • @diannebarrett5580
      @diannebarrett5580 3 года назад

      You're right, it can be confusing when paints are different consistencies but that's the way it's always going to be so I suggest you aim for the mixed consistency using Gilly's recipe as a base/guide. For me I would put in the 1 inch of paint and the 1 inch of PM plus the Floetrol, you will soon get to know what the "feel" and look of the correct consistency is. Gilly describes it as leaving a small trace, so if you drizzle yr mixed paint back into the cup you will see it leaves a pattern just for a little while before settling back into the cup. Once you have this right it is just a matter of getting to this with each paint eg: if at the end of mixing, your paint goes straight back into the cup with no trace then it is a thinner paint and you will need to add more paint. If when mixed it leaves a mound, it is too thick and you would add water just a few drops at a time. Usually, the more expensive paints tend to be the thicker ones. A good idea is to join Gilly's FB group as lots of members will be more than happy to answer yr questions. Hope this helps 🤗💕

      Hi Joshua! Did you get the Glue All or the school glue? I've been so tempted to try the School Glue as they never have stock of the Glue All but I've been burned before with a gallon (4ltrs 🙄) of a clear glue that cracked all my paintings! Thanks, Di
