This is why boxing solely on its own is so inferior to kickboxing/muy Thai yea they can dodge all the punches but their lower bodies are wide open and even the ducking down is so open to vicious knees and kicks. I don't know why people still train solely boxing

Exactly. If tyson goes in like that bobbing his head like that, his legs are def exposed for vicious knees to body or kicks. I find it funny how boxers use the philly defense and go forward with their hips trying to push the other guy with their hips lmao. but again this is because of boxing rules.

@@kungfusp well its neutral. In a street fight, a good boxer will adjust accordingly. They will not bob and weave and push forward with their hips. In fact they would keep excellent distance and attack and escape changing angles, coming inside then escaping out of range, all while looking for counters... All while moving their hips, moving with their footwork, throwing jabs retreating, etc.... I like boxers because they are bouncy constantly circling around.... I like muay thai because they stand tall and stare at you while kicking you in the head. If you come too close that will be a switch knee to your stomach and elbows to the side of the head.. In other words muay thai is lethal and to the point while boxing is finesse and swagger almost like dancing...... Boxing is more dodging, evading, while trying to sneak a quick punch in, while muay thai is blocking with hands, checking kicks, stepping forward and throw combos and not being afraid to exchange blows
@@kakashi_senseisan3931 true but every time the boxer would come in he'd get his legs blasted and even when he thinks he is out of range because he can't land punches he will still be in the muy Thai fighters range for kicks. And a boxer ain't used to looking down and looking for shots coming from below the waist. Long range is muy Thai short range is muy Thai so they are basically fucked
