  • This week we read Parshat Tazria. In this video, we try to understand the underlying reason for the condition known as Tzaraat - skin lesions that appear on a person for speaking badly about others. We discuss what we should focus on when we speak and offer a new insight into what to focus on when we speak. An approach that will help us achieve happiness in our day-to-day living.

Is it Loshen Hora to watch the news? Especially when certain people are vilified? Or is it important to know the facts of the day????

Great question. Personally I try to get the facts. When there are attacks on people or situations like what happened with the BBC accusing Israel of hitting the hospital I will hear the headlines but won’t comment or judge until there has been further investigation and information presented. As long as you realise that the news can be agenda driven not fact driven that should hold you in good stead.

The human brain is exactly like a muscle if you exercise your muscles they will get stronger. If you think in a certain way that thought process will become dominant. Let it be dominant that you see good.
