When Dave ( as usual) stole the soul of the audience with one line: love , is a nutrient... The reaction of the public surrendered to Chappelle's sincerity , and there's was nothing she could do but to knell to your highness Dave. You're absolutely right friend , Oprah is disgusting . A human being was not biologically built to be under a microscope and judged by millions of people around the world. The Hollywood lifestyle is a double edged sword. It gives people a chance to pursue their passion and touch the lives of people around the world. But it also means that you have to carry the burden and responsibility that comes with it. I remember first hearing about Dave turning down millions of dollars from comedy central and not understanding why. I live in Los Angeles and it seems like there is an aspiring artist in every street corner waiting to be found and make it in Hollywood and yet Dave turned his back on it. It wasn't later in life til I really realized why he did what he did. The older you get the more you realize what matters and what doesn't. There are things that money can't buy and there is a price to pay for trying to do so. Being spiritually bankrupt has got to be one of the worst feelings in the world especially when you are being judged by the world and being called crazy. It takes a tremendous amount of self discipline and belief in one self to do what Dave did. You never know all he internal battles people go through. It takes courage to publicly put your spiritual, mental and emotional health before money knowing you will be out casted for it. Dave has managed to stay grounded in humility despite all the bs thrown at him. Truly one of the best comedians to ever do it.

I think I can finally understand Dave Chappelle. He was stricken with these higher-ups and executives controlling him and making him into whatever they wanted because of a contract. So he walked away and went back to stand-up comedy where he doesn't have to answer to anybody and he can control his own narrative. He connects with an audience one-on-one, without his words or actions being edited by anyone except himself. He took back control and came out the other side stronger than ever.

The Dave we see is the Dave we get. I think that’s the most underrated part of the beauty of him. He’s unapologetically himself (which in my opinion works because he’s a hilarious comedian and a good man) but it’s not for everyone. He’s one of one.

The things he says, are things that everyone should know about their enviournment. The thing is can you say from your heart "this is what i want". When we know that business most likely even if you get into something "good" the question will be what are you willing to sell? Soul is something that will be on the table. In other words, yes. But at any work you sell yourself in the system. The stakes seem higher when more money is in question, but the money too has a price, it is taken from everyone that are fooled to give more and more. For a man to say when stack of money is given and knowingly say - "No." He has seen what it is about.
