Dimash's proper Kazakh surname is "Qudaibergen". The nation of Kazakhstan is in the midst of changing their alphabet from the Cyrillic alphabet (imposed on them during Soviet occupation) to the Latin alphabet. In the Cyrillic alphabet, Kazakhstan's hard "K" sound was written with the letter "K", which is why you see "Kudaibergen" in his older videos. This is just my opinion and what do I know...☺️, but I think Dimash is a natural empath. I believe he has a tender and loving heart, and can easily feel or imagine and transmit the emotions present in any given song. And i think it's quite sincere and instinctual for him.

Especially Battle of Memories, Ocean Over the Time and The Meaning of Eternity. The explanation for his surname is that Kazakhstan is moving from the Russian Cyrillic alphabet to their own Kazakh language. Kazakhstan has only had independence from Russia in the last 30 years and they're used to speaking mostly Russian but are now heavily pushing for the move back to their own language. So it's Kudaibergen or even Kudaibergenov when he's doing a Russian performance but he's using Qudaibergen personally as that's the Kazakh spelling which is why his ear buds and logo are DQ.
I offer that Dimash has been born many times, and likely not just on earth. I don't think one can have his talent, his focus, his sense of purpose from such a young age, his level of intense discipline, dedication and fortitude, his depth of wisdom; his ability to feel and emote with such intensity and sincerity unless you've lived many many lives, unless you are an advanced being who has been developing himself not just in a single lifetime, but thru many lifetimes.

This is a beautiful song and I love hearing him in Russian and Kazakh. His suit, the mood. It is a masterful interpretation. His low tones are perfect. Well he had vocalist and instrumentalist in his family, his grandma taught him as a toddler on the piano to hit notes, he was the youngest excepted into a prestigious musical school and what makes up as the gifted is that he has a physical deformity with larger vocal folds than normal. I do believe all the hard work, genetics and the abnormally large vocal folds explains him pretty much, but don't discount the hard work and determination to master every fascet of his trade. Dimash earned his place in history.
This one the ending takes you through a number of emotions then that last burst resolves the emotions to give entirely different goose bumps....lolol krutoy deserves alot of credit for writing technically powerful music and Dimash brings them to life
Experiencing Dimash Iive is like watching a miracle happen. The same time my mind and soul took off and I got lost in the utmost beauty of his voice and stage presence, I stared, in awe and disbelieve, and the depth of my emotions got so intense that I cried with joy.
Recommendation: Samaltau from Tokyo Jazz 2020. it’s a super stripped down version filmed in his home studio, just Dimash with two musicians. It’s one of his most beautiful and fascinating performances ❤️ I‘m also not sure if you‘ve heard Dimash Sing in his native tongue yet, I find these the most special songs of him! A good singer sings, a great singer emotes so much feeling every time they sing & that's Dimash. I don't think he has gone through heartbreak but he is an incredibly humble & caring human and is moved by human stories & emotions & is able to convey them through his incredible vocals. In Kazakhstan it's Kudaibergen..in Russian it's Qudaibergenov. His full name is very long..it's Dinmukhammed Knatuly Kudaibergen and the Dimash is the "nickname". It means gift from God, I believe. He is the oldest of three and all his family and extended family live together as is their country's custom. He carried a small bag of favorite cassette tapes and a cassette player everywhere with him as a small child..even to bed. He is humble but stubborn..kind but likes to joke..he says he is made of music and if cut open you'd find music. He says he will remain single until he is 30 yrs old. He was born in May of 1994. The family was told when he was 3 or 4 that he had perfect pitch so his grandmother quit her teaching job and spent all her time taking him back and forth from school to music teachers and lessons. His parents were busy in those years as famous singers in their country. His father stopped performing as Dimash started to become famous and became a part of the production team. His sister has graduated and is in nursing school. His younger brother is studying music.

I totally shared your reaction before I'd even finished watching it. I love seeing reactors who genuinely appreciate Dimash's art. He has this way of extracting emotions out of the listener..... well, for me personally. Sometimes, I'm at a loss to describe how I'm feeling and everything is chaotic. Then I listen to a song like this and suddenly I find the words. He has this way of shredding your emotions, twisting it into a pretzel, and then gently knitting your soul back together. I know my explanation sounds extreme and just a tad crazy, but the emotions he evokes and unleashes for me personally, has me sometimes sobbing like a child and yet, feeling strangely cleansed afterwards. I believe Dimash could be an accomplished actor just as much as he is an accomplished singer. He chose singing but who knows what the future brings.

The explanation for his surname is that Kazakhstan is moving from the Russian Cyrillic alphabet to their own Kazakh language. Kazakhstan has only had independence from Russia in the last 30 years and they're used to speaking mostly Russian but are now heavily pushing for the move back to their own language. So it's Kudaibergen or even Kudaibergenov when he's doing a Russian performance but he's using Qudaibergen personally as that's the Kazakh spelling which is why his ear buds and logo are DQ.

I offer that Dimash has been born many times, and likely not just on earth. I don't think one can have his talent, his focus, his sense of purpose from such a young age, his level of intense discipline, dedication and fortitude, his depth of wisdom; his ability to feel and emote with such intensity and sincerity unless you've lived many many lives, unless you are an advanced being who has been developing himself not just in a single lifetime, but thru many lifetimes.

Well he had vocalist and instrumentalist in his family, his grandma taught him as a toddler on the piano to hit notes, he was the youngest excepted into a prestigious musical school and what makes up as the gifted is that he has a physical deformity with larger vocal folds than normal. I do believe all the hard work, genetics and the abnormally large vocal folds explains him pretty much, but don't discount the hard work and determination to master every fascet of his trade. Dimash earned his place in history.
This one the ending takes you through a number of emotions then that last burst resolves the emotions to give entirely different goose bumps....lolol krutoy deserves alot of credit for writing technically powerful music and Dimash brings them to life
Experiencing Dimash Iive is like watching a miracle happen. The same time my mind and soul took off and I got lost in the utmost beauty of his voice and stage presence, I stared, in awe and disbelieve, and the depth of my emotions got so intense that I cried with joy.
Recommendation: Samaltau from Tokyo Jazz 2020. it’s a super stripped down version filmed in his home studio, just Dimash with two musicians. It’s one of his most beautiful and fascinating performances ❤️ I‘m also not sure if you‘ve heard Dimash Sing in his native tongue yet, I find these the most special songs of him! So added bonus with this one 😃

A good singer sings, a great singer emotes so much feeling every time they sing & that's Dimash. I don't think he has gone through heartbreak but he is an incredibly humble & caring human and is moved by human stories & emotions & is able to convey them through his incredible vocals. Have you reacted to Daybreak? Dimash first heard this song & learned of the very sad story behind it when he was 10 yrs old & was so moved by it he never forgot & then began singing it later. It's incredible. You are obviously British like me & we need to start a movement to get Dimash more known here in Britain I think. Igor and Dimash presented the song here on Alla Pugachova's 70th birthday on April 2019. She is a famous singer in Russia. The event took place in the Kremlin in Moscow.
The pianist is Igor Krutoy (Krutoy means 'Cool', *1954 in Ukraine SSR). He lives and works in Moscow- Russia always. He is singer, a world- famous composer and music titan in Russia (billionaire). His family is in the US now. Krutoy came out of retirement to write songs for Dimash. The maestro and Dimash have been working together from time to time since 2018. They are friends and have a father-son relationship.
Maestro Krutoy composed this song 28 years ago for Alla Pugacheva. Valerya Gorbacheva wrote the beautiful words. Now Igor and Dimash have refreshed the song and Dimash made it his song, incomparably beautiful. The interpretation is completely different from the original.

In Kazakhstan it's Kudaibergen..in Russian it's Qudaibergenov. His full name is very long..it's Dinmukhammed Knatuly Kudaibergen and the Dimash is the "nickname". It means gift from God, I believe. He is the oldest of three and all his family and extended family live together as is their country's custom. He carried a small bag of favorite cassette tapes and a cassette player everywhere with him as a small child..even to bed. He is humble but stubborn..kind but likes to joke..he says he is made of music and if cut open you'd find music. He says he will remain single until he is 30 yrs old. He was born in May of 1994. The family was told when he was 3 or 4 that he had perfect pitch so his grandmother quit her teaching job and spent all her time taking him back and forth from school to music teachers and lessons. His parents were busy in those years as famous singers in their country. His father stopped performing as Dimash started to become famous and became a part of the production team. His sister has graduated and is in nursing school. His younger brother is studying music.

I totally shared your reaction before I'd even finished watching it. I love seeing reactors who genuinely appreciate Dimash's art. He has this way of extracting emotions out of the listener..... well, for me personally. Sometimes, I'm at a loss to describe how I'm feeling and everything is chaotic. Then I listen to a song like this and suddenly I find the words. He has this way of shredding your emotions, twisting it into a pretzel, and then gently knitting your soul back together. I know my explanation sounds extreme and just a tad crazy, but the emotions he evokes and unleashes for me personally, has me sometimes sobbing like a child and yet, feeling strangely cleansed afterwards.
EDIT: You mentioned the way he's able to convey emotions and wondering what he's lived through. I'm of the firm belief that he's an old soul. It's the only way to explain how he's managing this.

Meanwhile, the Kazakh administration changed the writing method of the Kazakh language form Cyrillic to Latin. The name became Qudaibergen. Dimash has used the initials DQ since then.
