- Terry continues his talk with Mick Avory and John Dalton, original members of The Kinks
They talk about their difficulties in America in the late sixties and about their new project, The Kastoff Kinks
Saw The Kast Offs last night in St.Helens. They should not be doubted. They deliver 2 hours of classic songs superbly and with no nonsense between songs. Any self respected Kinks fan can go to see them confidence.
I would love to see and hear the Kastoff Kinks. Great past members.
@@thomaspick4123 Hi Thomas the clips in this film don't do them justice. They sound much better in the Venue and.a great testimony to the songs. To appreciate them at their best I would recommend listening as is rather than expecting the original band. Sadly when I saw them Jim Rodford was on Bass has since passed away. It was a privilege to have met him and he was a true nice guy. R.I P. Jim.
First off, Dalton is NOT an original Kink. That honor goes to Pete Quaife. In any case, LOVE the Kinks and I thank Mick Avory for being my first teacher for many years. I may not have been the kind of drummer I am today without his amazing influence.
Yes that was shoddy. I'm a Dalton fan but get it right. R.I.P. Peter Quaife.
Enjoyed the RCA Kinks
There is talk of a brand new Kinks Album...…. great stuff.....
Arista in '76 and Sleepwalker. I'd like to see the Kastoffs.
John Dalton was the best bass player whit our worlds best band.
Does anyone like Mick Avory?
He was Ray's best man at one of his weddings.
Definitely! Right up there with Charlie Watts and Ringo Starr!
@@lawsonj39 yep.
What's not to like?
@@dannydine5263 yeah, he’s adorable, isn’t he? His rather dry humour doesn’t hurt either.
