Mo 224 I think the word you were trying to use is “inspired” and there’s no “copying”. If someone designs his house in Italian style, they’d simply call it “Italian style”.
italian style itself was inspired by moorish ,biyzantinian, greek and ottoman architecture.

In fact they had a monopol on trade back then and took all the influences from the countries they traveled to , to create their own style. You should inform yourself why the "renaissance" happened.
@@its4481 No wait, you're absolutely right. Sorry, I was just pointing out that "Italian style" referred to architecture could mean anything and everything. The Roman Empire was a MEDITERRANEAN thing. When the Romans talked about Barbarians, they were referring to Germanic populations and those brutish men with braids in Scandinavia, not Africans or Middle Eastern people. Throughout the middle ages, the Renaissance or the Baroque Italy rarely looked at what the rest of Europe was doing in art, it was the other way around. Some of the most famous European buildings like the Palace of Versailles or Schönbrunn couldn't be more Italian that that.

@@Lionard is there an equation which takes into account (age of castle+material of castle+square m of castle+last refurbishment= annual cost of structural maintenance costs)? I’m wondering if castle that size costs 30k € per year or 300k € per year to maintain. The building itself not the grounds keeping costs.

At least these castles are worth preserving for future generations. Something like 1/3 of British manor houses were lost in the 20th century. Once they're gone...

You’d be surprised how undervalued these things are when new mega mansions would sell for around 80 mil sometimes. 300 mil would be quite rare. History is beautiful in this though
@@nickfury5587 probably true. Would probably sell for alot less than it would cost to build something like this today. All the hand carved art work would cost a fortune to recreate today in a home. Probably be better as tourist location than a home to live in. Probably cost alot to modernise it.

Imagine myself owning a castle, even if i winn the Euro Jackpott i can`t afford this place. 100 millions is not enough. I would change the interioer, still have it old style but much nicer and warmer. Castle looks nice but always to cold.
