Well this isn't particularly "new" as much as most people don't (recall) using lifeshroom often. Most people wouldn't ever die to the Tuff puffs as they'd have like 30 HP or something by then and would be mashing like mad. Even if a player did die to the tuff puffs, they wouldn't notice the lifeshroom resetting the turn as they'd just be glad they're still in the fight. This is kind of more "I bet you didn't notice but here's what happens when you deliberately do this" and most of us are like "Oh, yeah I don't ever bother cause I never really die.
i wonder if there were any kids back in the day who had a really hard time with huff n. puff, then found out about this exploit by chance, stocked up on life shrooms and coasted on this strategy to victory
Not likely, even back then mashing through the tuff puffs would have them do like 4 to 6 damage at most. and Huff n Puff doing a max of 7 damage (except his charged move and his smash attack which do 10 and 15 respectively), most player would spam Refresh or Smooch. Odds are too low you'd die to the tuff puffs , while having a life shroom, and then even notice the turn was skipped. Plus people spamming air raid or Star storm would make the recovery like 3 hp.
@@maker0824Yeah, because the point of the lifeshroom is to revive the player after dying. If the enemy still was able to attack after that, you'd likely die again against later bosses, defeating the purpose. so to avoid that, it just resets the turn to Mario's turn. This happens for every fight with multiple enemies if an enemy kills Mario while other enemies still have a chance to attack.
