인디 포크록 밴드 알레프(ALEPH)의 첫 EP앨범 ‘1’은 처음 시작하는 것이 가진 가능성과 불확실함, 설렘 그리고 기대를 담았다.
타이틀곡 No One Told Me Why는 아슬아슬한 감성과 대조되는 아름다운 선율이 조화를 이루는 곡이다.
특히 사랑받길 원하면서도 일정 이상의 관심을 꺼리는 현대인들의 이중적인 감정을 노랫말에 담았다.

I dont know if someone pointed it out but the boy has hearing loss. Aside from listening to ALEPH's beautiful voice & calming melody, the lyrics translated in english & the mv itself i think has an impact to our beloved brothers & sisters who has condition. I think this song and music video is relating to something happening to me RIGHT NOW!!!!
I have a fixation on someone I barely know and our lifestyles are completely different.
He smokes, drinks, does pot, dropped out high school, can't drive, had a child with his gf whom he's now separated from and is dealing with personal things and trust issues.
I on the other hand, don't smoke, no drugs, no drinking, i finished high school, never had a boyfriend, gone to college, can drive, and I'm basically like a good girl lol... No wild parties, clubs or bars either.
Anyways, I wrote him a letter that I liked him and was drawn to him. He said he cant say the same because he doesnt know me but i thought maybe we could at least be friends.
Now we text and have met in person once. Hes really nice to me. And we are both currently going through a really tough time and i feel partly drawn together because of our problems, I feel an urge to comfort him.
But our relationship is so confusing... like I feel he's pushing me away, yet he still texts me as soon as possible. And my feelings for him are confusing that I want to leave him because I feel he doesn't put the same effort into the relationship or cares as much.
When we met in person once, we were both suuuper awkward but I felt we both enjoyed it. He even texted me right away after we departed because he had work. But then after work he suddenly seemed cold or indifferent. Like I wanted to see him again, but he was just 'whatever you want.' As if he didnt care.
I was wondering if I was like the girl in this video, giving the boy something he wants to understand but cannot...he feels he unworthy and rejects her.

UPDATE: we said goodbye... He couldn't return my feelings and it was sad... But even though it hurts, I'm trying to move on.... the time just wasn't right...
