    Paul, you are smart, easy to follow instructions, and the reason I am writing "smart" besides all the good instructions, you are the only one that cut the noise out you video, when you were cutting the crown molding pieces, you have spared our ears to live a bit longer, so we don't loose hearing at older age:).     My grandpa was the one that taught my dad how to do the jig you made. And me with no experience have used the old jig with great results and saving me lots of $'s in installations of the Crown molding. Nice to see some old fashioned carpentry tricks!

    Holy crap brother, you made something so complicated so simple, thank you.. I need to save this because I'm about to do the base board in my entire house and I have those rounded corners, I thought they would look great until I got to the point of running base boards. Now I'm good, you saved me a ton of time and I thank you for that.

    This jig ROCKS!
    And it's quick.
    I use a grinder and flap wheel to cope and we flew through this house!

      Okay, do it with 8 inch clear walnut that costs $25 a foot. You are gonna need one big miter saw, or learn how to do it properly.

    Paul, I really appreciate your videos. You are a good instructor. I am installing lighted crown molding in a room that has 5 corners. The jig you made will help me to calculate the two corner that are not 45’ degree angles. I look forward to seeing more of you helpful videos.

    Great video man! I’ve been a carpenter for almost 25 years now. I’ve always just held my crown in place by hand. Ya know. Sometimes it slips a little and moves. Sucks right. That’s a great little jig you got there. Not to mention. It can save money on bad cuts. Thanks man!!

    As a painting contractor I occasionally am requested to put in a piece of crown moulding. Now after 30 years you have just taught me how to cut the angles very easily. Thank you Paul!

      Why don't u just use the crown accessory clamps to hold crown in place. No need to build anything. Am I missing something

    That's a great idea! I have always used a plywood fence with a similar locking system just attatched to my miter saw fence. But one advantage I see in your set up is how clearly you can see where to cut on the returns from that view. I think blowout would be minimal with a sharp blade, and coming straight down with the cut, as opposed to pushing it forward on a sliding compound miter saw. I'm looking forward to trying this method! Thanks for sharing👍

    Paul, I have to rebuild my entire kitchen. I'm making my own cabinets and , yes, the crown is going to be added at the top. The wife insists. Had so many issues installing drown around the ceiling. This is going to make it much easier. can't wait to build the jig. Thanks.

    Gotta love RUclips shop class from the pros. I work as finish/trim carpenter (S.E.) from auto interiors to homes trim and cabinets or built in's my shortcoming is crown molding have very little experience most homes don't have it.
