I will keep liking, I will keep watching. But every time you call The Boss, Joy. I will comment to tell you Joy is not her name actual name and nowhere can you actually find this information, not even in the wiki. :)
Strangelove calls her "Joy" in her final tape in TPP. Nobody knew her better. Also, though the Wiki is hardly gospel, here's the transcript in question right here: Strangelove: ". My voice...It's so distant. But you can hear me, can't you, Joy? I know you can. You're recording all of this. Deep down in some memory board he'll never find. Duplicating it...Burying it under heaps of meaningless code." AI Pod's Final Recording, Questioning Huey [7] metalgear.fandom.com/wiki/Metal_Gear_Solid_V:_The_Phantom_Pain_cassette_transcripts
I think Strangelove's naming of her as Joy is not actually factual and not based in anything else but the title. Strangelove herself is infatuated with The Boss on many levels. Her fantasization is to the point she turns her title of THE Joy and calling her Joy is just that. She is trying to humanize her because she herself is so legendary that Strangelove doesn't even know her name. They were close but so were her and Jack (at the time) and EVA. EVA knows EVERYTHING about her it seems. Why doesn't she state her name in her tapes in PW. There is not enough evidence to back the final thoughts and breaths of a dying woman. That should also be something to account Strangelove is literally dying, saying and thinking all sorts of things as she runs out of air to breath. Can you trust anyone under that much duress?
I only comment so much on these videos because supposedly it signal boosts them for the Eldritch youtube algorithm, but make no mistake, I unabashedly, wholeheartedly love your content
I also do random user generated comments for channels I enjoy. I initially thought this was another channel with long winded fan theories and BS. But Futura is clearly different. I learnt a lot about the development and influences on MG and Kojima. And I gained a lot of insight from the series recently. I always knew MGS was deep. but I always found the story little confusing and always had itching questions. For example, I couldn't figure out it was ocelot in the post credits scene. I was that stupid. And there were a lot of details I missed during my play through during the original releases. But now I see, the MGS had a HUGE influence on the person I'm today. So much so it was almost spiritual. Like, lmao. Kojima planted seeds of ideas that would radicalize me into becoming a commie that wants to overthrow the US government. lol Jokes aside. Kojima is god. lol
I was 10 in 1998 and played the MGS1 demo to death. My dad was so sick of hearing the same five cutscenes, he told me he'd split the difference if I saved up $25.00. Prior to this, he had blown it off one day as "just mindless killing" when I asked to get it. Ironically, it turned out the adults had no idea what unprecedented values they were missing. In a sea of mindless killing games, this one challenged the status quo and really made you question whether your actions were right. All of the Foxhound death scenes were gutwrenching. Sniper Wolf's death was hauntingly beautiful. Snake outright tells Otacon that this isn't a Hollywood movie and the hero doesn't always save the girl. And then there's Liquid throwing all the Genome kills in your face at the end, as you were essentially killing your brothers the whole time. This video game ended up having heavier themes and more sense of responsibility about its violence than most movies or TV shows made for "grown-ups" did. I can't understate the influence it had on me -- even today as an artist and writer myself, Shinkawa and Kojima are two of my biggest inspirations. I'm more of a film buff than I am a gamer, and MGS remains one of my favorite stories of all time. Whenever I meet *gamers* who have never played this series (or worse: have only played MGR:R), I can't help but think it's like a classical musician who has never heard Beethoven. This series is quintessential for gaming and dare I say all modern entertainment media, as it has certainly transcended its medium in ways no other work has. At the same time, I love that it isn't as popular as it should be. The MGS fanbase has the same camaraderie as fans of a cult classic from a bygone era. You can't say the same for Star Wars fans. They're always at each other's throats, as their fanbase encompasses literally everyone on the planet. Despite Snake's Revenge, MGR:R and MG: Survive, the fanbase remains pretty unified. That's impressive for a 33 year old franchise with multiple generations of induction.
@@Shittyrapper I'll never get there, homie. I was mad hyped for that game in development about 10 years ago, and it was looking downright amazing. This was back when it looked like the game was going to be set post-MGS4 with Sunny as the new ninja. Don't believe me, check out the original concept art for "Raiden" as he/she has a brown eye -- and that bandanna, I'm pretty sure they meant to be Solid's. Her mother was a cyborg ninja after all... The marketing website at the time even had some super atmospheric sound/visual design. But then the tsunamis happened in Japan, the game went on blackout, and the next art we saw was a revised image where Raiden's cheekbones had been made more masculine, and his eye was changed to blue. Then it seemed like the idea was to set this between 2 and 4, but when it went to Platinum Games, they just gave up altogether on a compelling story. I still maintain that the original plan was a grown-up Sunny set after MGS4, taking up her mother's role as the cyborg ninja, adopting Raiden's codename, and wearing Solid Snake's bandanna as an homage to one of her two father figures. The setting teased in the early marketing pages also seemed downright post-apocalyptic. Alas, we got "RISING: REVENGEANCE" instead. So yeah, I'm never gonna get over my hate for that game.
I've realized I'm pretty lucky to have grown up with the Metal Gear series. I was 13 years old when Metal Gear came out and I walked 5 miles to get my copy on release day then found myself jogging 5 miles back because I was excited to play. After that first night of playtime I found myself re-reading the instruction booklet on the bus to school. Paying particular attention to the equipment descriptions and daydreaming what I was going to do with those as soon as I got home from school. Fast forward to the age of 40 and I was playing the last game in the series and I had a realization that a) Kojima and I aren't that far apart in age(he's got 11 years on me). And b) these characters had a profound effect on me not unlike Luke Skywalker or Rocky or any number of timeless characters that stuck with us throughout life. What a great time to be alive!

I personally enjoyed the Fears battle the most, where other Cobra’s carry their respective emotion into battle illustrating its effect in them, their mannerisms, skills and weaponry the Fear stood out for wanting himself not to feel fear but rather the player with traps 🪤 set up throughout the battlefield and a ever present stare from a foe you can barely make out among the dense foliage only having a vague sense of where he is or moving based on noise and subtle visual effects, he’s not particularly strong as again his power derived from the carelessness of the player fearing for their safety as they attempt to flee for safety only to snag themselves into a trap. It’s truly my favorite and most memorable fight within snake eater.

Steven Spielberg is the Hideo kojima of movies
Thx
I thought the Transfarring system was only created for the HD ports of Peace Walker for PS Vita and PS3? And that it didn't exist at all in the original PSP version of the game.
It does Works for PSP Peace Walker
You can even unlock PSN trophies with it
Do you have any personal criticisms of the series?for me its the liquid/ocelot arm thing. I personally never cared for it. I would've love just to keep liquid and flesh out his character as the "gene" you know? Keep it up boss.
Damn metal gear survive that forgotten huh?
Never mention that name again.
Your comment would suit metal gear solid portable ops more as at least with that game Hideo Kojima was still working for the company.
You're really churning out the content. How can I say the line if you don't ever give me a chance to wait?
