I see the difference, WRC has a course that never repeats, while the Dirt 4 track generator repeats course sections quite often.
Track drivers see the same corner hundreds of times. WRC drivers see thousands of corners one time.
I just started playing Dirt Rally and Im hooked. Awesome game.

Everything about WRC 7 looks and sounds good but the co driver the voice sounds so incomplete and fake
That makes Microsoft Sam sound far more human in comparison.
The italian voice actually sounds way better
Physics look strange in WRC 7
The physics is "feels" very realistic, when the physics engine is working. I've had multiple instances where I've hit a jump and upon landing, I smash into some invisible object and incur severe damage, and I landed smack dab in the middle of the road, clear of debris. I also run into quite a few blue screens while playing this on the PS4.
yeah, the cars feel kind of floaty. like the suspension isn't as tight as it should be or something. D4 feels more connected to an actual road.
thats the reason its more arcadey, i know you have probably never driven on dirt, but there is nothing close to direct or connected when on dirt, not even with AWD

I've driven rally cars on dirt and its nothing alike, Dirt rally wasn't the best in physics but was better than D4 atleast

I have both games on PS4. First, let me say that, WRC7 is more difficult than Dirt but car configuration isn't available on hot seat mode in WRC7.
Both games were released in 2017 the season in which aikatsu on parade s1 storyline took place

Prefer WRC7 on PS4 however the framerate needs real improvement. When I play Dirt I love how smooth it is you can really tell the difference if you play one after the other. Great time to be a racer. Like WRC7, Dirt Rally and GT. If you want the full Rally experience id say WRC7. Sure the menus and some presentation isnt great, but the tracks, teams, cars drivers and visual variety are far superior on WRC7 for the full WRC experience.
Agreed! I played WRC after D4 and really thought the frame rate would be an issue, but I was surprised how soon I got used to it. Granted, the times it does drop are irritating but it only happened once or twice in a season for me. It's worth it for the far superior stages though.
Codemasters is the king when it comes to rally games, dirt 4 has way more realistic physics, better sounds and graphics
The biggest difference I can tell is sound, you can hear the rocks and dirt hitting the car on WRC 7 vs Dirt 4 it is very faint.

in Dirt 4 it depends on the surface. australia (as seen in the video) is more of a dirt/sand/dust surface, so it's quieter. the stages in wales and michigan are different.
You can hear it better in cockpit view in dirt 4 cause you're in the car, hearing it in third person is kinda unnecessary I think
this game of wrc was on gravel and d4 was on sand
In real life you would hear that aswell , think about gravel hitting body when you are close to a car . you can hear it really good
Both games look amazing I think dirt 4 looks more colourful whereas WRC 7 looks slightly less colourful

I actually prefer dirt because i had played another deliveries, but WRC7 doesn't look bad. Now i'm thinking about a game mode, cooperative, where it will be a driver and a co driver, it could be interesting

Would of instantly said Codemasters, but after giving WRC games a fair chance you can tell improvements made each time and personally would choose WRC7 over Dirt 4 and Dirt Rally ifcould only play one.

I'm about to get one of these games but I'm not sure what one to get. It seems WRC 7 has better graphics and car sounds so I might get that
brayden gray if you only care about graphics then sure but dirt 4 is better for physics. Not too real when in simulator mode but doesn't feel completely like game physics.
I'm sure you have made a choice by now, but I would say the physics are not that different in WRC- they're suprisingly deep. Not as good as Dirt Rally's but I'd say on par with D4. It's WRC's stages where it shines and puts D4's to shame.

Yip I agree. Wrc 4 and mcrae rally 5 on ps2 were the last best rally games for me personally.
Got to pick dirt 4 since the co guy sound better and I personally like the game and I actually have dirt 4 which I bought with my hard earn cash.

I hate to say it but the WRC games nowadays look so unfinished as if they rushed it. I feel like if they just took their time, maybe give three years of work. It would be on par if not better than DiRT. But otherwise, DiRT 4 is the clear winner

Simulation racing games are difficult. That's why i don't dare playing them. I played Dirt 4 and it's fun.

I recently purchased Dirt Rally and Dirt 4 for my PS4 Pro. Dirt 4 is by far the better game in comparison to WRC 7.
as per graphics, wrc got more photorealism looks
Copilot calls in both are miserable to listen to, DiRT Rally is still taking the cake on rally racing for now.

Dirt 4 For me also! Just the only thing are the cars look little more realistic in WRC7. And I don't like the gameplay so much than on Dirt 4.
I really love Dirt 4, not because of the graphics but because I can FEEL the cars and the road. I just bought WRC 9 and I hate it, there is no feel to the cars at all, they feel like driving in soap with no contact to the road

Dirt 4 no es un simulador, es arcade puro. El juego parece no tener fisicas, solo responde a derecha = derecha, izquierda = izquierda. El auto va sobre rieles, no te podes pelear con el volante porque te chocas.
Dirt Rally si es un simulador en todo sentido. No entiendo como viniendo de un juego que destila tanta madurez, decayeron en un penoso Dirt 4. Una lastima.
Si te hubieras informado un poco sobre el juego antes de comentar sabrías que DiRT 4 tiene dos modos de juego distintos "Gamer" El del video, las fisicas estan en "modo facil" para que un gamer promedio pueda jugar y disfrutarlo.
Y "Simulador", Con físicas simuladas, como las del DiRT Rally; pero mejoradas en todo aspecto para hacerlas mas realistas... Leer no cuesta nada.

Exacto maestro. Eso es lo que no me gusta del dirt, es muy arcade. Y yo vengo jugando desde el colin en ps1. Coincido totalmente con vos. Comk el wrc es difícil manejar creen que es malo, y en realidad eso es lo que es un auto de rally, difiicl de llevarlo. No es doblar y dobla, es mas que eso el rally. El luchar para doblar cada curva.

It's quite simple for me. The course designs in WRC 7 are far, far superior- that's just a fact. Dirt's have no soul and no real challenge- utterly boring! Agreed, WRC does have issues- rubbish weather effects, poor presentation and robot like co-driver to name a few, but I would still pick it over Dirt 4 any day. Now it just needs Dirt Rally's handling and its weather effects!
Ben Williams I think video was unfair with different stages. In Dirt 4 you can generate tracks randomly with different length and complexity. You want challenge? Go with max complexity and you'll have it.
Countries/stages also differ. Australia (which is in this video) is the easiest stage, at least for me.
Orkhan I. Ahmadov - Have you played both games? Have you honestly not noticed that Dirt 4 actually only has a handful of corners per county? It's so bad in places I have sometimes predicted what corners are coming up after say a left hand junction turn for example, meaning sections are repeated not just corner designs. What I'm saying is by throwing the slider to complex just means even more of the same predictable corners/sections to navigate. Ironic really when the whole idea of random generation is meant to make it less predictable! The tech sounds cool on paper, but it's just not developed enough. They should have stuck with hand crafted tracks with a random generator as an optional extra.

Egorence I did play Dirt Rally and loved it, which is why I was so dissapointed with Dirt 4. Just wish DR had more content really. All three games have their good points- just want them all in one game now!
the reason Dirt Rally doesnt have enough content is WRC itself, codemasters doesnt have the license to use the stages and cars that the WRC games has, fuck em for being that selfish

Joey Coligan 'Don't cut' means you will incur a penalty if you shortcut the corner.

dirt 4 looks better but weather you like it or not wrc physics and handling is more realistic... for me both games are fun, i own both. dirt is arcade, wrc is simulator.

It is indeed! I prefer WRC 7 but the co-driver does suck in it! The guy who did Dirt Rally was really good actually.
Wow, when I've heard his voice in Dirt 4, that gave me goosebumps. I'm huge Grist fan, because all of these years playing CMR since the 1998 debut game and his work beside Colin McRae in WRC. Getting him back in a Codemasters rally game and hearing his voice again was a very very special moment. Absolutely love it. And yeah the co driver in WRC 7 is annoying as hell.
