I have a theory. Jon has always been so much in love with Jaya that he never wanted to lose her, and since she really wanted a baby while he didnt , he compromised for her sake to have a baby with another lover, Ian. Then after noticing how Jaya spend more time with Ian after having a baby, Jon thought how maybe if he had a child with Jaya, she would give him more importance. And the fact that the boy is not Jon's own son he loves him still because he's was given birth by his love Jaya.(he even left his job to take care of the boy surely the boy will grow closer to him and grow up to call him "dad" someday and not Ian). So the point is, I want to say that this dude, Jon has a really big heart, like I think he did all this just to make Jaya happy, after all when we truly love someone all we want is their happiness, though we can clearly see that it hurts him so much. As a guy, I'd be okay with it. I'm naturally submissive and service-oriented, so I'd be fine with taking care of chores around the house, and giving them space when they want. I'm not especially jealous by nature, but even if I did feel jealously I know I could manage it in a positive way. And if they go away on dates or weekend getaways, I get to enjoy my free time. I see nothing wrong with the idea of polyamory. It's not for me, I'm totally monogamous, but I would have nothing against someone who wasn't. I also don't think that this will really effect the child in any way, I was raised by two straight parents and I turned out to be bisexual so I really don't think my parents orientation had any effect on me. I see nothing wrong with the idea of polyamory. It's not for me, I'm totally monogamous, but I would have nothing against someone who wasn't. I also don't think that this will really effect the child in any way, I was raised by two straight parents and I turned out to be bisexual so I really don't think my parents orientation had any effect on me. If the kid naturally wants to be with one partner he will be, if he wants to have multiple, or none he could do that as well. I guess this is going back to the nature vs nurture debate. The only thing wrong I see with this family is the fact that they don't seem to be communicating their feelings to one another, but this has nothing to do with the fact they are polyamorous. Just my opinion, no need to agree.

I'm not sure why this idea upsets people so much. They are all consenting adults....so ask yourself who you think you are to tell somebody else how to live?
