Mine came with what appears to be a Zhiyun Crane Plus adapter, its tiny. You're showing it mounting on a Crane 2... my adapter does NOT fit my crane 2 at all.
Also, the weird 14500 charger in the manual says "Dual" charger. Some youtube videos show the magnets a positive and negative symbol. My charger does not have positive or negative, they both just have icons of magnets. Also, how do you charge 2 batteries at the same time. My unit came with no instructions that talked about the usb charger.

Hey Clint, included in the Nucleus Nano is:
1x Nucleus-Nano Hand Wheel Attachment Adapter for Zhiyun Crane 1
      and
      1x Nucleus-Nano 14500 Magnetic Battery Charger Cable
The charger only charges one battery at a time and the newer models do not have positive or negative ends. They work on either side.
We offer an adapter for the Zhiyun Crane 2 if you are interested:

Is there a way to program the Nano to automatically go from point A to point B instead of manually doing it? For instance, if my camera is on a powered slider and I want one end of the slider position to be point A on the Nano and the opposite side of the slider correlate to point B on the Nano - that way, my subject matter is always automatically in focus regardless of the physical location of my camera on the slider.

I just recall the Ronin S and some cameras like GH5s and BMPCC 4K only have USB-C connection, some don't have Micro-USB at all. ¿Will a Micro-USB to USB-C Adapter work to power the motor from camera or might cause malfunction? The F55 should have a 4-pin connector as well as the 8-pin that you mention. The one that we use for our run/stop would be the Hirose 4-pin connector. Hey, on the amazon listing, it says that the motor can be plugged into the camera itself for power instead of a gimbal or battery bank. But throughout youtube I've yet to find someone try this with a more portable rig, most of the time they result in attaching a small battery usb to the camera. Can the motor actually be powered by the camera itself? say for example the sony a7iii?

It doesn't really work because of the lens's rate sensitivity. It only works with lenses like the Canons, where the throw remains the same, but it doesn't have hard stops. For lenses like a Sony G lens, where the lens moves slower per range as you turn the ring slower, it really doesn't have any way to accommodate that, at least not that I've found. It would be nice if they released a firmware that just allowed unlimited motion with a rate adjustment, but with the nano controller they'd need to use an infinite encoder as well. This would be feasible with the Nucleus M handgrip controls, since the wheels are infinite encoders.

The Nucleus-nano is a single channel system which means that only one motor can be used with one controller at a time. The Nucleus-M is a multichannel system and allows up to 3-4 motor syncs simultaneously. In other words, no you could not use the M FIZ to control 2 nano motors - it will only properly control one.

And, we suggest only using the 14500 battery to power the Nano hand controller, the USB port on the controller is only for firmware update and if you try to use that as a power port it is very likely to get it fried.

Yes you can power it directly from the USB port of your V-Mount battery. The motor can take up to 18 volts so even if you got an unregulated D-Tap to micro USB cable, it would still be compatible

Received mine today but sadly it doesn't seem to have enough torque to rotate the focus wheels on my manual Zeiss lenses. I have custom made focus gears on these lenses so slippage isn't the issue here. Has anyone else had a similar experience?

    • @TILTA

5 volts can only give you so much torque. If you have a stiff lens, I would suggest powering through our P-Tap solution and you can purchase that separately through our website. Please visit tilta.com for more information

This can be compatible with a Ronin-M. There is a USB port that will provide 5 volts. It comes with a baseplate that will allow you to mount it on to the gimbal. The only additional cable you would need is a a USB to Micro USB cable that is long enough to reach the camera and the gimbal
