Definitely get ur wheels made into 19s for the LS, you’ll be able to have great fitment and not be low enough to destroy anything, helps so you wont have hovercraft front fitment
It doesn't defeat the purpose. 19's still give you a low LOOK, but once you start spending money on body work, you don't wanna destroy it. 18's is for low. 19's is for kits/daily. And if you step to 19, it won't even change the look. It'll give you more clearance and allow the look to stay the same. I have 19s and until I park next to people on 18's (which don't exist around here) people swear I'm too low lol.
I love your wheels, but I think that you would benefit from them being bigger, it would give you a litle more height and fill out the entire wheel well better. Looks dope regardless, and my favorite mod to date is those damn tail lights, those are bad ass! Keep up the good work!
Mike man, just wanna say I’m so proud of you G. Been with you since the Del Sol and it’s just so crazy to see the glow up. Fuck with your vision heavy.
@@diiviinemedia DIVINE U should make a custom interior and custom floor mats and custom trunk it’s just my thoughts but I’m happy of how ur Beautiful cars are looking even better than ever
Honestly, I think the lesson here is that you should have put on a nice set of BC coils on the NSX and done airride on the LS. That way you can slam her as low as you like and also set up a cruising height, but you can also set it up where you can drive it normally without having to worry if your going to tear off any of the kit going up a drive or on uneven road.
@@charliepayy a static build is usually done on cars that get dailied this man wants to drive this car all over creation and is hoping to not rip any of the kit off. I could see it being plausible if every single road surface was exactly the same but we all know they are not so it’s only a short matter of time before he damages something.
@@kylershipman funny… nobody told that to Lexus when they installed factory airride on some ls400.. or to Junction produce when they were kitting out theirs..
Not two toned!!! Solid colour looks amazing. Thanks to your LS400 and Adams Celsior, it’s given me the motivation to find one and I’ve realized how hard it is to find a LS400 here in Ontario Canada..
Mike, the body kit and needing to raise it means you need bigger wheels. Wheels are too small and raising the car to gain clearance means you’ can’t be as slammed which means you need bigger rollers. Or like you said the cheaper route; bigger tires and maybe air.
I literally yelled aloud...."YEAAAAHHH! TWO TONE!" when you confirmed :))) Also bigger wheels like others are saying for sure. I run 19s on my UCF20 for that reason cuz then car looks good at a low enough height to still be a daily driver on the shitty Canadian roads I endure.
Stop beings a hot boi and come to the grown folks side. Lose the camber and sit her right. She can be low but classy. She’s old now, just like us✌️❤️😈🦫
The 2 tone is so subtle sometimes I really feel like it's perfect with that kit, I know you wanted to do a full spray but damn...... the two tone ;) ALSO the sounds a 1UZ can make depends heavily on exhaust check out all combos of X H & Y pipes :)
Mike man the kit is fire. Have you considered going up in tire wall size. That did the trick for my Z. While still having nice fender-lip presence. Every mm helps
Not sure if you already know this but the ecu is known to go out on the ls400s .I just bought a rebuilt one and I have no more issues with electrical problems and the car randomly shutting off. Don’t be like me and buy a used one I learned the hard way lol
Mike, is there a reason you are staying static? A taller tire would give you another 1/2" or so, but it seems an air ride system would be the solution to all of your problems.
love this big beast of a car n its already lookin super sweet i can't wait for whats next!!.. never got the low low scene though..it looks pretty but shit i myself for instance live in DR n the streets over here, u would NOT be able to drive AT ALL so functionality is key !!respect n cheers dude
I'm telling you man, bigger wheels all the way! I would even suggest going up 1" on the lip as well as the face to keep the proportions right. Also, I think some clear side reflectors would help take out an extra color since you're keeping the two-tone.
looks very good Mike. was not the biggest fan from the kit but it grows on me. But I really don't understand why this car is static. The lexus needed airride from the beginning. just so it can be driven normall.
Your car your taste and looks great. If it were mines I would raise it to were the body slightly covers some of the top of the tire, for me it fixed a lot of my ride height problems on my BMW. I ended up loving the stance.
Nah, the front half of the lip got lower when he lowered the rear. The pivot point he was looking for is the front wheel/axle there. Since the skirts are behind the front wheel, it gets lower as well. Mike probably should just get a lip size bigger for his wheel, run 19” and less stretch. Itll lift the car up. Probably even less stretch would actually raise the car quite a bit. However he’d prolly need stock control arms and shit to revert his bippu drop.
I had the same battery issues thought I had major electrical problems the battery would randomly die out of no where and then be normal for a few weeks and it ended up being a grounding issue the main battery ground down under the frame was chewed up
Overall I love the wheels but I think you just need a larger wheel to give you a little bit more ground clearance and to get the fitment proper I am excited to see where this goes
Yeah ether bigger tires or bigger rims will help you get that fit mint with out having to drop the car so much so the rims don’t look tiny dropping it so much to clear the gap by having smaller rims or tires
Damn man this kit looks like it needs airbags to make it driveable. But then again this is essentially a show car but I could never drive a car that low in NY lol
So this may be a redundant question but is there any possibility that you could have installed the side skirts on the incorrect sides? When you said the front portion is thicker that the rear it begs the question if they can be swapped so the thicker portion is facing the rear.
Is it possible your sideskirts are mounted on the opposite side of what they’re supposed to? Usually they are thicker in the rear compared to the front if they have a difference :) just a though.
Definitely get ur wheels made into 19s for the LS, you’ll be able to have great fitment and not be low enough to destroy anything, helps so you wont have hovercraft front fitment

Happy to hear that the two-tone is staying :D
So glad the 2-tone is staying, I'd even be an advocate for matching the kit with the grey!
I feel like if the two tone is staying the kits obviously going to be painted grey.

I respect the nonstop work to get it drivable static, but really seems like bags would do you wonders
Debating it at this point since I’m switching directions with it
He’s already proven that he can live that static life lol no need to continue to make his life harder at this point.
Then it’s the endless problems of air leaks, air is trash lol

The best the LS 400 has looked! Great look!!
The static approach just doesn't work well without fitment issues, and damage. Just do an air-ride setup, and call it done for suspension.

Thanks for the fast shipping of my order. Will post a pic of the freshener on IG

The ride height is perfect bro you have more than enough spring rate to not destroy your front & rear lip depending on where you go

And maybe aircups for when you need to enter ramps?
The car looks amazing. 🙏🏼 for it when you leave the compound.
Haha now you need custom headlights and corner lights and the front end will look sweet
if youre staying static just get 19s man. that way you can have dope fitment and have the ride height youre after

Mike we need some good slash tips coming out the bumper!
I was thinking that you need to change the tyres before you said it but I'd definitely do all 4 tyres.
I'd also raise the front and rear a half inch.
defo get 19s or 20s, it'll help so much with fitment
I think youre going to have to raise it more to drive it confidently.. I also thought of bigger tire size
Pushing out content! I love this
Can we get some underglow installed. Maybe try swapping the side skirts around if the back of them is thinner than the front
Mike, is there a reason you are staying static? A taller tire would give you another 1/2" or so, but it seems an air ride system would be the solution to all of your problems.

Two-tone FTW!!! Bigger tires, 19 inch wheels, more tire pressure and this will be it.
Or you might bag it. This is the car for it.
Its perfect like this.... just section the side skirt to make the front lil shorter for clearance issues...

If u were to do a burnout on the rubber mat would it burn 2x rubber or would it just rip.?
At first I did not like the wheels but with the car becoming together I'm starting to see the final picture and it is fucking amazing.

Yesss to the two tone staying 💯👊🏼 taller tire is going to work also . Rear trunk spoiler maybe in one them box’s from 🇯🇵?

Replace the skirts the right on the left and the left on the right to use the lower part on the back
Just a thought have the 2tone as an accent color for the interior
Would the skirts work on opposite sides so the wider section is at the rear? Hope that makes sense.
Nah, the front half of the lip got lower when he lowered the rear. The pivot point he was looking for is the front wheel/axle there. Since the skirts are behind the front wheel, it gets lower as well.

Sideskirts may be on the wrong side?
Flipping em around would also raise the sideskirts in the front.

Have you ever considered bags for the 400
Were the side skirts marked driver and passenger ? maybe the fatter part of the skirt goes towards the rear?
