I took delivery July 11th (2023) and it is now Jan/2024: Can I still do this procedure safely? I'm in Nebraska, so it's not "oven hot" here in the summer.
Awesome tip! Thanks. Off subject question...If you take the fenders of that model... Would the wheels be fully covered under the body? I would be working on building one with a retro On Road look, more slim looking.
That's great and all but I figured since its keyless entry and you can only open the gas cap when the doors are open...... 🤔. It's pretty much useless now😂😂......how about on the roof next time!
Im so glad to get rid of that 1990's keypad!!!! Thanks for the video.
I reference this video in my new video and link it if anyone chooses to use this method.
Thanks for posting.
No wires?
Definitely doing this!
Is there any downside to doing this? Does the keypad have to be in range of the doors to work effectively? It’s a really awesome idea!
We’ve had and have heard of no issues!
Thanks for the tips!

Thank you!! Doing this tomorrow!!
How did it go?
Currently struggling to get the outer casing off lol
Warm it up with a hair dryer or heat gun. Don’t melt it, but get it warm. It will soften the adhesive if it’s stubborn.
Does the gas cap lock when the doors lock?
It does not.
Awesome tip! Thanks.

no
Will gasoline/fumes degrade the keypad?
No, not unless you're spilling gasoline on it.
Don’t think the b pillar would be a better/more traditional spot?
Can be re-located anywhere there is a smooth surface. We like the hidden gas door because, well it's hidden.
Brillant!
Have you tried to start the car after locking the keys in the cab with the keypad? Wondering if it actually works
I do this all the time w/ my F150. I just use my spare to remote start it.
Now that’s a smart move

The gas doors aren't lockable so it's not an issue.
FORD IS SUCH CRAP!!!
Just like this comment. 🤡
You should look at the video from bruceyyyyy showing how easy they are to break in with.
